Help me decide: keep or return 20b square mini

I just received this cutie but noticed two problems.

1) The red is a bit darker than I expected. I was hoping for the red to be brighter. Is this season’s red brighter than 20b?

2) I thought people always complained about the strap being too long on the mini. Did Chanel shorten the strap ?Do you think the bag sits a bit high on my body frame?

I need some suggestions. Should I keep or return the bag? Thanks in advance.

I am a firm believer that you should LOVE a bag at these prices.
I think the color is great and I think the drop is a good length for you, but what matters is what YOU think. If you don't love it exchange it for one you can't help but smile every time you see it!

This is a “IMO” only...I think the colour is lovely...and I much prefer the shorter length with the mini...I am not a fan of crossbody bags hitting the hip- to me it looks messy when walking and your hip is hitting and moving the bag! I think the shorter length allows the bag to sit neatly to your body.

Shorter length is great IMO, especially if you wear jeans a lot. I tend to worry about color transferring with denim if the purse sits on hip. I also think it's more playful and youthful with this length. Price is great considering there aren't many bags in this configuration you can get for under 4K.

I think when people talk about the chain strap being too long on the mini they might be referring to the rectangular mini. Rectangular mini straps are longer than square minis.
The color looks great but that’s totally personal preference.
In my opinion this bag sits a bit high on you. I like the way the Business Affinity looks on you in terms of where it hits your body.

I would return for two reasons
1. It’s not the red you want
2. You don’t seem sure in the cross body length.
These are both deal breaks for me .

However if you
1. Have got used to the red being darker and like it with your outfits
2. You have got used to having this bag sit higher on your compared to your other bags and like length

then keep it

the length on square mini is shorter than the rectangular and it really depends on your body frame. the red looks good to me. you need to love it. i don't have a square mini because the chain is too short to my liking

I think it's more a matter of which length is more comfortable for you than which looks better! I came across a really pretty chevron mini rectangle in dark pink but passed on it as I didn't like where it sits on my body (too low). I prefer the length of the mini square and love wearing mine out

I think the red looks great on you! Your pants in the first set of pictures look similiar to a pair that I have except the print is teapots.

I like shorter length for crossbody but as everyone stated it is a matter of personal preference. Reason I like shorter straps is usually you can wear them just on the shoulder too, when the strap is too long they have to be worn crossbody only.

I have no comment about the color. I have stopped buying pop of color for my expensive bags.
