Help Me Decide! Gucci Mini Jackie vs. Celine Shoulder Triomphe

So I want to add a smaller, black bag to my collection that is used mostly for going out to dinner / nights out / formal(ish) events (ish because my life really isn't that fancy). I'm super torn between these two styles. I love the look of the Celine bag so much, but I do love a smaller top handle vibe of the Jackie - note, I'm considering both the regular leather style and the patent with the chain (however, to my previous point, I am leaning regular leather as the chain one might be a bit too fancy for my life). The bag only needs to fit my phone (regular iPhone), a lip gloss and card case. My car keys are a card as I have a Tesla, so that goes in the card case. Would love opinions!!

Tough choice - they are both super cute! Both classic and gorgeous in the black with gold hardware.

Oops, I was looking at the wrong Celine so editing. Hmmmmm…so hard! I’m no help! They are both beautiful so you can’t go wrong! Have you seen them in real life? You might find you just gravitate towards one when you get a chance to play with them!

I agree with @foxgal, you can't go wrong with either, but I voted for the Jackie because I like the Gucci comes with the added chain strap if you want that variation, I also thinks in a way it makes it less formal worn that way, so you have more choices. It's also a very cute version of a classic Gucci bag.

I am a fan of the Jackie and have 2 myself. I do not own any Celine bags but am leaning towards that for you. It looks classy and would go with just about anything in my opinion.

+1. I am a fan of the Jackie in general, but in this case I prefer the Celine.
Perhaps bc of the patent and the photo. . . But, also bc I prefer an integrated strap,
and, I wear enough jewelry that I dislike chain, especially gold chain, on bags

You mentioned that you would choose regular leather, no chain, and if that is the case,
then my vote would perhaps change

ETA: I tend to prefer the Jackie in a larger size. IMO the Celine looks a little less cute,
In a good way. This particular Jackie looks diminutive, but JMO of course.

Given the color and size, I’d go for the Celine.
I have the Celine shoulder triomphe in white canvas and it has been my most used bag so far this year. I love it, it is so easy to wear.
The smooth black leather definitely dresses it up and gives it a classy vibe but not too formal or overly serious.

I love the Jackie as well but in black it feels a little too serious for the design and I prefer it in the small size (vs the mini).

Thanks all for everyone’s thoughts and votes! I appreciate it. I ended up going for the Gucci mini Jackie - I couldn’t help it - I think it’s such a cute style. The triomphe is still on my mind though so I’m thinking about getting it in the pebble gray color or the new cranberry maroon color. I feel like some version of this Celine style needs to be in my collection.
