Hi everyone [emoji4]

Please help me, I can’t make up my mind about this.

I have been super in love with the Gucci Jordaan and I have intended to buy them this Christmas but recently (well today) I’ve been thinking that I should get the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM (Toile Monogram in Beige).

I wanted to get the loafers because I have a super minimalistic style when it comes to shoes and I just want a simple put it on and go and use it everyday type of shoes BUT, I do live in a city where it rains so, so often, and I’m not very careful. I’m kind of scared that the shoes will wear out really fast.

Which brings me to why I want to buy the LV Neverfull, I think bags are easier to care for and I have been looking for a bag that can fit my laptop and just a bunch of other things and it’d be easy to care for. But at the same time, the loafers though [emoji22]

I really can’t decide, please help!

It;s seems more of a personal choice as they're totally different things.

The shoes have a leather sole and shouldn't wear any more than any other outdoor Gucci shoe, I put a fine rubber sole on mine too but it's more because I don't want to slip. However, like any fine leather shoes they shouldn't be worn in heavy rain (that's what foul weather boots are for).

Hi,

The jordaan loafers are not rain proof. I would not wear them in the rain! You can (and should!!) definitely put rubber soles underneath the loafers (a good shoemaker will do this for you and it wil lalso prevent quick wear), but the top will be ruined when you wear it out in the rain (of course you can't always prevent it, but just be sure to properly wipe them clean afterwards and don't purposely wear them out when it rains). That said I am from The Netherlands where there is a lot of rain, but I just wear them more in spring/summer and try not to wear them in rain.

It just depends on which you will use more. The LV is not leather (canvas) so you can wear it in the rain more easily. Which do you think you will reach to more?

This is super helpful, thanks! (and also super coincidence, I’m also living in NL haha). Anw, how long had you had the loafers for? Does any rain protecting spray help?

I still really can’t decide, I just bought the balenciaga city as an everyday bag so it feels better to buy shoes as opposed to another bag but then the jordaan might not fit with dutch weather [emoji848][emoji21]
