Ok ladies. I don't know how many of you have been following this thread: http://forum.purseblog.com/chanel/the-bag-that-does-not-exist-719232.html but we discovered that Chanel made 2 shades of Burgandy for the 11A Reissue. The 226 size which Saks, Bloomies, NM, etc carried was coded Dark Burgandy 81614. The 227 size (which is the one I bought initally) is coded Burgandy 91320 and seems to have only been carried by BG. It got me curious, and not being able to stand not being able to compare them to see which I liked better, I tracked down a 226 from Saks. LOL.

Now of course one must go. I think I like the 226 better. The shade is darker & richer and I don't have a 226 reissue yet. Here are some comparison shots between the 81614 Dark Burgandy (226) and the 91320 Burgandy (227). Which do you guys like better?

Do you have some mod shots to see which works better with your wardrobe? Both are really pretty. But I voted for dark burgundy because I think burgundy is nicer when it is darker.

Oh man. LOL. Now I'm even more confused. I thought the 226 was goning to run away with it. Thanks for all your opinions guys! keep them coming!

Have you considered the Light Burgundy Patent Reissue? Saks carries it in 226 and 227 and the color is TDF!

Hi. Thanks for your suggestion! I'm not a big fan of Patent for Reissues though. I prefer aged calf.

I, see your dilemma, lallybelle. They are both very pretty burgundy shades. However, my preference would be the 227 (91320). The 226 appears to have a more brown tone? Good luck with your selection, and do let us know your final decision.
