Help me choose!

I ordered a 10 motif Tiger Eye necklace over 3 months ago with an expected 3 month wait but have been told it will be an additional 3 months. But I also love the 10 motif chalcedony necklace and am told it will likely be 1 month (no guarantees though). The online boutique has the grey MOP and diamond 5 motif bracelet which is another option.

I currently own TE earrings and 5 motif chalcedony bracelet. What would you do? Any regrets with any of the 3 options I mentioned or specific reasons to go for one over the other? Thank you so much!

I've been having the exact dilemma for over a year. I want and love both equally for obviously different reasons. I have a 10 motif rose gold hammered and a 5 motif chalcedony bracelet. The 10 motif hammered RG technically covers my needs for non-white gold option, so the tiger's eye seems redundant - but I want it. Also thinking of a 20 in either.

What to do... :thinking:

It would be so much easier if everything was available and could be seen and compared 😭

I personally love the GMOP/pave 5 motif but MOP in general can be a bit high maintenance. If you have other RG pieces in your collection that would match the bracelet, plus you don't mind taking it off every now and then then go for it. With chalcedony and TE, it makes sense get either one since you already have the 5 motif in the same stones, it'll just be the matter of which stone you get offered first that are in the correct colorway/pattern that you prefer. Just because you're more likely to get your hands on the chalcedony first doesn't mean you'll definitely love the stones. Since you already put in the deposit for the TE, I feel like even if you get the GMOP/pave or chalcedony before it, you'll still gonna want the TE, so might as well just get it first even though you may wait a bit longer.

Yes, I actually paid in full for the TE but can get a refund and stop the order.

All look beautiful on you! since you ah e matching pieces for both the chalcedony and TE, I would pick the 10-motif that comes first! You know that ultimately you will end up getting BOTH 10-motifs?:graucho: And, you have good reason to! You have matching pieces already! Half the battle won!

So these are actually stock photos. But I do like the look of both. Eventually I might love a 20 motif chalcedony but I’m not sure how far in the future that goal might come to fruition.

And unfortunately I would need to pay in full for the 2nd 10 motif since the SA doesn’t believe it will randomly come in stock without ordering and paying in full. I would have to cancel my initial TE order if I went for either the chalcedony or the bracelet from a financial standpoint- plus I feel like I’m giving VCA a 0% interest loan if I keep paying in full and waiting to see what comes in.

I know. I think you should keep the deposit for the TE since TE is much harder to come by, leave alone as 10 motif. 10 motif chalcedony pops up more often so you come across one that you really like within this 6 month then go ahead, cancel the TE and put the fund toward the chalcedony.

Although I think the bracelet is really pretty and would be my personal choice, it wouldn't move you towards matching either of the pieces you already own. The tiger eye 10 motif is what you set out to get, so I suggest waiting it out a little longer, if you are able.

I think I am going to do my best to wait! If it doesn’t truly move me when it arrives, I can re-assess. Thanks to everyone for their input!
