I'm flying out of Heathrow early next month and plan on purchasing a new wallet and a Zippy Coin Purse. I currently have a well-loved, large Kate Spade Lacey Wallet, but for the last four years, I have mostly used a sticky pocket on my phone I keep my most frequently used cards. I'm hoping to try to be a bit more "grown-up" in my presentation and not use a $5 sticky silicone pocket as my wallet anymore. I have, at times, been frustrated when I've forgotten my insurance card/company card/gift card is at home... in my actual wallet.

Sarah
I like that the Sarah has so many credit card slots, and it is a classic style that I love. I don't use cash all that often, but I appreciate there is room for it. The SA at my local store also showed me that my phone could fit inside it, which blew me away. He says it could be used as a clutch, and I like the simplicity and timelessness of the piece. It is, however, rather large and I worry about the glazing issue people have had.

Clémence
The Clémence looks very sleek and elegant. It fits well in my hands and doesn't feel huge. I like the pocket inside, and I especially love the fuchsia interior color. It doesn't fit as many credit cards or my phone, and I don't like the leather pull tab, but it doesn't seem to have the glazing issues that the Sarah has. I wonder if it will look dated in a few years.

I plan to buy the Zippy Coin Purse regardless, because neither the Sarah or the Clémence will fit into my smaller purses (and the price at Heathrow really can't be matched).

And bonus question: what canvas you prefer for your SLGs? (My bags are in DE.)

Thanks, everyone!

Hi! I don't have the sarah wallet but I have had the clemence wallet for a few years now and love it as an everyday wallet. It stores all my cards well and if I have an extra one or two I usually slip it in the back compartments. Cash does get stuck in the zipper sometimes but it isn't anything too crazy. I personally like the clemence more because of the zip component but thats just me. I only one bag in canvas the DE so I got my clemence to match.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one!

I also have both wallets and switch them out when I like a wee change I find sometimes my Sarah gets bulky though
I love my DE bags but I prefer my SLGs in monogram and I’m not bothered they don’t match the bags

I dipped my toe into the LV world in March with a mono fuchsia Sarah wallet. I did an extensive analysis of all the choices. I chose the Sarah (even though I was reluctant to spend the extra $ required) because I truly loved the envelope style and that it can be carried as a clutch. But the biggest deciding factor was the pocket in the back. I love to be able to tuck receipts, cash and even my debit card in there as I am concluding a transaction in a store. And I know you are comparing it to a Clemence but the other issue for me was that I knew that I could not manage a leather covered snap, which many of the other envelope style wallets have. So far I am thrilled with my purchase. She fits my phone and what I really love is the convenience of the four card slots up front. I put my most frequently used cards in there and I often do not even need to go to the main part of the wallet. If it is your first LV wallet, I would highly recommend the extra space and convenience of the Sarah.

While having slightly less cars slots (Sarah has 16, Zippy 12), I would buy the Zippy wallet if you want it to fit your phone and you like the interior.
Clemence is too small for me ( I initially liked that one but when I saw it in person chose the Zippy).
I have combined my DE speedy b with Mono wallet (matched the interior color of the bag to the interior of the wallet) as if I want to get the DA print it won’t be so much contrast in my mind.
Unless you want epi, then it’s another story

I don’t have either but between the two I would choose the clemence. I like how it’s a zippy and slim and easier fits in the palm of your hand nicely. I feel like it’s more secure easy to grab and go and like the layout. Personally I don’t like the design of the Sarah the sharp envelope look. If you like that button envelope style how abt Emilie? I like that better and have that. It’s a great wallet. Not as many credit card slots thou

I have a clemence wallet love mine still looks new after 2 years. My mum has the Sarah wallet shes had nearly 10 years. The thing I've noticed on hers is that the flap is slightly curled upwards from opening and closing and has a deep crease inside too. Its unavoidable. Plus she has had it reglazed but that is to be expected since she used hers for that amount of years as a everyday wallet. Overall its held up well.

Just to edit: On second thought I think my mum has the Emilie wallet :-s as it has like a inner pocket inside, its like a secret compartment at the back.

I would say 5-10 years ago I used to LOVE when a piece fit my phone. It was a MAJOR selling point for me. But in the last year I have realized this really isn't a priority for me anymore. My hands are on my phone constantly. When I do put my phone down, I will absent mindedly put it in a jacket pocket, my jeans pocket or even my workout leggings have a phone pocket now. I just don't stow my phone away in a zippered item that much any more. I use my phone way too much now and it's a pain to be zipping and unzipping an item. I no longer want to zip and unzip a wallet every few seconds to get my phone in and out. And if I do go out out then I want to carry a bit more than a wallet for my clutch. I am just pointing that out because I just recently noticed how unconsciously that is still a huge selling point to me but in reality I rarely use that feature anymore.

The Sarah is great if you carry a ton of cards. I downsized my cc spending lol so I only have one now plus debit, Costco etc. I have the old model Sarah’s and I think they look so elegant. I also have an Empreinte Zippy and that thing is huge! You can load it up and I can fit my 8 plus in there with it’s case on. The Clemence is good if you have fewer cards, don’t mind the zipper, and want something smaller and slimmer. It’s like zippy’s younger brother! Haha

Sarah

I don’t have the clemence but have the full zippy. Sometimes, it is confusing (for me) which sides are your most accessed cards. While Sarah is more functional. I also heard before that depending on what country your from, some bills doesn’t really fit with it being a little more narrow than the other full wallet. Sorry, englishh is not my first language.
Don’t get me wrong, i still love my full zippy just find sarah easier to use between the two.
