Help me choose my next bag : Céline small trio or 3.1 Phillip Lim mini Pashli ?

Hello beautiful people !

I need your help to choose my next bag purchase

I am looking at two bags right now :

- the 3.1 Phillip Lim mini Pashli bag in black

or

- the small Céline trio bag in black as well

I would love to have both, but for now I have to choose one.

I used to have a regular Pashli bag and sold it so I have been thinking about the mini version ever since. But I heard the strap is pretty long, and I am small, so not sure about that. I really love the shape though and it would look great with many outfits. This bag is probably the younger, casual option.

Recently, I saw the trio bag again and fell in love with its simplicity. I think it would go with just any outfit, it is more classy and would be my first Céline. I am also worried about the strap, because I heard it often breaks. This one is more of a classic piece to invest in.

I don't know what to do, can you please help me by giving me your opinion ?

Definitely the Celine. I like Philip Lim's designs but never really liked the Pashli much. I know it is his popular design but...

The trio is simple and will go well with anything.

The opening and closing of the Pashli can be annoying when you are wearing it on its long strap

I have a gorgeous summer coloured lemony mini Pashli which followed me back to London all the way from the fashion show mall in Vegas [emoji6]

Whilst I don't have a Celine Trio, I did purchase the Kors Bedford instead [emoji15] from the outlet at Bicester Village in the UK - (Bedford does not separate).

Strangely thou I have not used either although I hope to due to their summery colours bring them out today even.

I wanted to suggest an article here worth reading as I soo liked the Annabel Ingall JoJo (which does separate) when I saw it in the NYC store at Macy's in such fab colours - I wanted aubergine! See linky below...

I would say Pashli is better for shorter women especially worn crossbody but Celine I find expensive versus Annabel alternative which I find nicer too.

Thanks ezabuk ! All this info is great !! I actually really like the Annabel JoJo bag, it is gorgeous in tangerine, but it isn't available on revolve anymore.. I'll try to see what I can find.

I was thinking of investing in a piece that can be worn year round, with anything and for any occasion that's also why I almost always go for black, and I don't know if the JoJo comes in black..but you are right Celine is a tad expensive !

Oh you are most welcome - and yes really I find Annabel Jojo to be worth it plus I saw it in black at Macy's albeit Jojo comes in a couple of gorgeous blues as well as more colours still so worth a splash of tangerine I think - plus at this price you could get more than one and popper them together in alternate colours as you please! Black & Tangerine sounds delicious...


Ps I think it was Bloomingdales rather than Macy's btw - I'm not from USA so get mixed up with us dept store names as we barely have any decent ones in London is Harrods or selfridges
