3. Local Jeweller 0.3-0.4 Carats, Hearts & Arrow, with options to upgrade within 2 years.
This is slightly cheaper than Tiffany and has good specs, but even though it is also 4 prong, I think it may not be as flushed as the Tiffany Solitaire - not sure if I am just imagining the difference though! I feel it sits abit higher and somehow the Tiffany solitaire feels more pleasing to my eye. I just don't know if it's the lighting/ psychological lol

Thank you!

You have the gift of delicate ears! The third is the sparkliest diamond in the photos but I think the second is the most interesting design. It comes down to your personality really- do you want to add a bit of whimsy/femininity with a butterfly earring or do you want something more minimal/neutral like a solitaire?

I'm not a very feminine/girly person, so butterflies don't really speak to me but you can't go wrong with a classic solitaire!

I don't really see a difference between 1 & 3 tbh.

The photo for #1 is taken as a profile view while photo for earrings #3 is taken more at an angle. This may be why the Tiffany one looks more flush to you.
Tiffany uses great photography and lighting, even in their stores vs you taking a photo with the room light behind your head, casting a shadow onto your face and ears isn't going to look its best. Edit: and I see that you tried on the Tiffany studs and now I really see no difference between 1 and 3 lol.

Honestly, for such simple solitaire's I'd just go for the one at your local jeweler. If they are the same quality, or if the quality of #3 is up to your satisfaction, it is a better buy to go for #3. However, if Tiffany is the brand you like and the brand you want, by all means, it's up to you! :amuse:

Btw, I'm not saying Tiffany diamonds are not beautiful. I have a Tiffany DBTY necklace and I love it, never take it off and wear it daily! However, I chose it because of the way the diamond is cut, it sparkles beautifully despite being only 0.28 carats and I love the very thin and delicate chain that makes the diamond seem like it's floating on my neck.
We just know that, monetarily speaking, all brands hike up the prices of their products and Tiffany is no exception. It just has to be worth it to you for you to buy it!

Good luck and happy shopping!

Another vote for the solitaires. The Graff ones are pretty but whimsical in design and I feel like you may tire of them as you get older, plus they only go with certain pieces if you want to coordinate them with other jewellery? I have 1.62 ttcw solitaires now and they literally go with everything.

I like #1 and #3 the best. Have you tried the Tiffany DBTY studs? Those are flush to the ear, and I feel like Tiffany uses the sparkliest diamonds in their DBTY pieces.

Diamond studs all the way! Tiffany or local jeweller is a personal choice based on what you like, price, and other factors. Personally I wear diamond stud earrings the most and chose a local jewelry.
