I’m looking for a pair of gold earrings that can be everyday-appropriate but looks a bit more interesting than normal hoop or ball earrings. Here are my 3 contenders. Anyone have experience with any or just want to share your opinion?

Other jewelry I’d wear with this: Cartier YG love cuff + Tiffany DBTY and/or VCA sweet MOP. I’m pretty minimal on the jewelry and like things that have “quiet impact” if you understand me. Not distracting but there’s something that catches someone’s eye if they see a sparkle or a polished gleam.

Based on what you're looking for I'd say the T1. I think it is a unique enough design while still being very modern and classic. I've tried the diamond ones on before (same as the photo) and they are lovely! Enough sparkle with the diamonds but not over or underwhelming.

The T-wire is nice but I have seen too many fakes (they're sold on Etsy for like $50).
And the hardware is a little too plain to be "a bit more interesting".

Ts are not my thing.

I've tried on the Hardwear. They're very cool, not too 'try-hard', and they suited me in a pony tail/sleek up-do. but I think I'd only consider if I had more Hardwear.

Any changes of opinion if I throw in a wildcard here? I stumbled across these Mikimoto pair that also catch my eye. Theoretically I could get any 2 pairs of earrings here for about the same price as the T1 though this line of thinking usually gets me into trouble.

The ball earrings looked quite good on me, as I have short hair that stops right where the ball does, but I’m afraid it’s a little too playful for work… especially for executive meeting moments. But I don’t know if I’m overthinking it.

Nah, I don’t think they’re too much for executive meetings. I think they’re very classy.

Haha, I think the pearl earrings are cute. It really depends on what makes your heart sing at this point.
I understand how you feel about the price of the T1 earrings, it’s the main reason why I didn’t get them. I wouldn’t wear them often enough to get my cost per wear out of them. I like to change up my earrings a lot (and I also tend to lose my earrings) so most of my earrings are costume jewelry and gold-plated.

So I tried on all the Tiffany earrings. Here are my thoughts in case it helps anyone else:
  1. T1: My favorite of the 3, but surprisingly I thought it was a little too high impact and noticeable for work. I might reconsider in the future as I’m still thinking about them but I was too on the fence about it to pay this much. Sooo much sparkle and polish in a little package.
  2. Hardwear ball: I liked these a lot but I couldn’t get over the fear of my toddler tugging on them or getting them caught in something. For whatever reason getting an earring ripped off is my irrational paranoia.
  3. T wire: I thought I’d like this the most but it felt so flimsy and also a bit hard to put on. Nixed it right away.
  4. Mikimoto: Unfortunately they were totally sold out in the entire city do no chance to try.
What I ended up doing…. Buying no-name Akoya pearl earrings and the Tiffany Hardwear ball necklace (the small one) since I liked the earrings so much.

Thanks for sharing your findings! You just replied to my other post about Goyard in Japan and meanwhile, I was searching the forum for posts about daily earrings and coincidentally found this! :P I'm looking to buy daily, subtle earrings in Japan too lol. I also have the same "basic" jewelry as you; love bracelet, alhambra necklace. Not sure what earrings to get. I was eyeing the Chanel Coco Crush for a long time but I have never tried them on in person and not sure if they're heavy (and they're very pricey). Ideally, I'd just never take these daily earrings off. I'm kind of eyeing the Tiffany Smile earrings... they seem simple and cute.

I just wanted to add for other people that might consider buying one of these above. I tried the T1 on as I loved them but unfortunately they were to heavy for my earlobe. They were pulling done and showed my piercing hole in a weird way. Eventhough they are not stretched out at all. I then tried the T wire and they felt really flimsy somehow not quality enough. So for now I will stick with my small Cartier Love hoops as every day earrings and may some bigger Metro hoops later on.

Have you tried Tasaki (a competitor of Mikimoto)? they have edgy Pearl designs that will blend in with Tiffany Hardwear nicely.
