HELP ME CHOOSE? Chanel YSL or Gucci

Hi TFPers,

Trying to make a choice between. I am missing a nude, elegant bag to wear daytime to evening. I wanted a fair opinion as to why. a or b or c? What's your rationale and why? Do you own any of these items and are they a hit?

I would choose the ysl nude the gold chain compliments the bag I love the chevron & the ysl plate. It’s a very kute super chic bag u can wear it dress up or down. Double the chain or tuck the chain crossbody or should & it looks great with anything. I just purchased my 1st ysl woc blk with silver hw so kute I love it.

I have no experience with bags in general, this is just my opinion. The Chanel bag seems to be the most appealing IMO as far as the quilted design goes. The logo on the bag is the most conservative as far as formal occasions go. The chain looks the most appealing since it is interlaced between metal and leather.

Again, just my opinion. Enjoy whichever you purchase!!

Yes the Chanel is a much dressier bag it’s kute too. I have a boy bag gold hw & oh I love my boy bag so much. So it just depends on what u have & think u will use the most. The reason I purchased the ysl is because I needed sumthin with silver hw & I have a nice collection so adding the ysl was def worth it for me but if this your 1st I may would choose the Chanel not cause the name but u could use her day & night. Dress up or down imo. Good luck on your choice

I can't believe I'm saying this because as I rule I really don't like Chanel - but for what you want, I think the Chanel is the most elegant and versatile.

Another vote for the Chanel especially for a day-to-night transitioning bag. Besides loving the aesthetic (I'm biased for Chanel but I own YSL and Gucci too!), I think it's the most practical size for a day bag, while also being small enough to dress up.
