Hi Everyone!

I’m ready to gift myself another ring for the holidays. I’d like a simple yellow gold band to pair with a slim diamond eternity ring. I’m a little torn between the Chanel Coco Crush and Cartier. Which do you find more flattering on my hand?

Chanel Coco Crush

Pros: Feminine rounded shape, more unique (not seen as often as Cartier Love)

Cons: Overpriced compared to Cartier for a slimmer ring, not a heritage fine jewelry brand

Cartier Love

Pros: More reasonably priced, classic design, heritage brand

Cons: Scratches may be more obvious compared to Chanel, somehow looks more masculine on my hands?IMG_0878.jpegIMG_0617.jpegIMG_0618.jpeg

They both are great choices--how fun!

I prefer the Coco Crush because it is less common (at least in my experience and on TPF and YouTube). The obsession with bracelet stacks had made me weary of the Cartier Love design, unfortunately. (I still adore their Trinity design as it seems less common and is more meaningful to me, personally.) I have been considering Coco Crush pieces for myself as I have been drawn to quilted designs for decades. But, of course, we all should wear what we love!

You did not ask this, but I would try placing the diamond band on the other side of the gold band. Either side works though, of course. Also, it seems that the slightly curvy edge of the Coco Crush ring will complement your diamond band. Were you able to try on those rings together? If so, did the edges complement one another or did the rings not sit as flush? I would love to see that combo!

Happy holidays, good luck deciding, and please keep us posted! :flowers:

I’m biased as I have the Love wedding ring (pave version) but it is definitely my preference out of the two choices you have listed. I have tried a Coco Crush on in the past and was underwhelmed by it, especially for the price. In my opinion the Love is more classic and also very versatile in that it looks wonderful worn on its own or stacked with other rings. I stack my Love wedding ring with a thin diamond band on a daily basis and love the look!

Edited to add that I know the Love design has become ubiquitous, but I wear what I genuinely love and couldn’t care less about the popularity (or not) of a brand.
