Help me choose a Holiday party dress

This weekend, I have two parties on the same night. Both are "holiday festive" attire (dressy, but by no means formal). One of the parties will have a casino theme and we are supposed to dress the part (think Vegas, sequins, etc.). I ordered these two dresses and they both fit perfectly:

The gold sequin dress fits like a glove and is definitely sexier. The red sequin dress seems a bit more "festive" and is a bit more comfortable. Which one and why?

Just throwing in my two cents...

I like the red sequin dress from Cache better. It does look more festive in a Christmas/Holiday sense. Personally, I don't care for the back exposed zipper on the gold Bebe dress.

I agree that the red dress looks a little classier. Normally, I wouldn't have picked the gold sequin one for a Holiday party, but it seemed to fit the "casino" theme. The only thing that I don't like about the red dress is that the top part is not form-fitting and it has a cowl neck. I think that it looks fine on me, but it feels strange because I prefer my tops to be fitted.
Thanks for all of the input so far. I appreciate the advice. Keep it coming!

LOVE, LOVE , LOVE the red one!
The 2nd one isn't interesting at all to me. Maybe w/ a big swanky brooch or a furry shrug or a blingy belt . . . {?}

Oh, also forgot to mention, that I have a nice black shawl that I would be wearing over my shoulders for warmth. I would pair it with the gold sequin dress (making it just a bit more conservative-looking), but probably not with the red sequin dress because of the cowl neck. The gold sequin dress also has an optional halter strap that can be hooked on from the inside of the dress, which definitely made it more comfortable, but I thought it looked better strapless.
