Hi all!

i am a looking for a really practical, but still beautiful, tan cross-body bag. After some perusal I am narrowed the choice down to:

I would love your opinion on those bags, pros and cons and personal choices!

Thanks!

Personally (as are all decisions of this nature!), I prefer the aesthetics of the Dior and the Celine. My sister has that exact Bobby, and she loves it. It’s a gorgeous bag, and the leather is actually hardier than I had anticipated. My one knock on it, is that the main compartment is very narrow and rigid, and the bag doesn’t seem to hold all that much - which may or may not be an issue for you. I‘ve also seen the Triomphe in person, and it’s lovely.

Thank makes sense - do you know what she is able to fit in it roughly?

The Celine and the Dior look like they're saddle leather and the Loewe (which I have a vintage 'ancestor') is softer.

Saddle leather often gets scratches at first but then develops a nice patina but it will never be soft, eminently and forever more casual in style, and the Loewe will be softer and more pliable which makes it more formal appropriate despite the colour.

Honestly, I really like them all, you will have an amazing bag whichever you pick.

Thanks for that explanation that's so interesting!

She usually carries a small key pouch (similar in size to the LV cles), a Samsung galaxy (not sure which version), and a very small makeup bag. I tried fitting my longchamp cosmetic pouch, and a smallish YSL bifold wallet, and they did not fit.

I would pick Loewe, for a reason other than just loving their leather bags. Any scratches on their slimmer logo handware is less visible as opposed to the ’fatter’ hardware of Dior and Celine. That is if you decide to wear for a long time.

Dior would be the second choice - can change straps (Doesn’t need to be a Dior strap) but I find their bobby bags too small for lazy ole me. However I think with Loewe , you might be able to do so too.

There's a lot of vintage Celine bags with the same design, if you decide to go with Celine. I got a box shaped bag with the same design that's vintage and is way cheaper than the new bags. The vintage bags have horse carriage clasp design but also triomphe clasp design if you look for them.
