Hi!

I've had the LV Kabuki ZIppy Coin wallet for a while now - I'm conscious or not placing it inside my bag where it'd be facing/rubbing against anything, but despite my efforts, I'm see parts of the colours fading (see my horrible circling of the photo).

Have anyone had experience with this and if it was repairable in terms of touching the colours back up? It's a piece that has lot of meaning to me so it makes me a bit sad :(

TIA!

Anything painted in my mind will eventually show wear and paint coming off. I saw this with my Grafitti pouchettes. I kept my vernis agenda and small wallet in their flannel dust cover in my purse and the items stayed looking like new. No wear or damage to any part and they were well over 8-10 years old. A purse organizer with a separate larger size that the item pocket would protect it too. Sorry this happened, hopefully it will not get worse.

LV won’t touch it. Considered normal wear and tear. It would be easy to get thin tip colored permanent magic marker to touch it up if they were bothered each time they looked at it.

Thanks for your response and suggestions! I'll look into markers as an alternative

I think I've realized eventually that it was inevitable and wanted to see if anyone has tried to get it recoloured/touched up or even repaired and if there's that option even if it was wear and tear. If it was I'd probably fix it up and just keep it forever in its box haha

I bought my first painted mini pouchettes. The Christmas lion and birds. I’m certain they will eventually get messed up but I’m hoping not too soon. When I put them in my bag, I place them in areas (pockets) where, hopefully, the pain won’t wear off; but it’s a given. I don’t think LV can do anything about it if the ink wears off. The only thing I can suggest is to use permanent markers (or paint) to fill it In. Good luck.

All of the prints designs will eventually show wear. It could happen faster with more use. My watercolor Papillion showed no wear but the bag was not used daily versus my Graffiti Pochettes in both peach and Green which were well used as a clutch and put inside purses. I did not baby them nor expect them to look perfect because they were used daily. Just enjoy your item. I feel things were meant to be used versus saved because they might get a mark or water spot.

I am also careful with my wallet because it’s special, I made it after I gave birth. Mine is mon monogram zippy long wallet. I don’t use it often. Mine have glazing issues and the printed is chipped. My SA warn me, not to take any of “printed” item anymore, because it’s prone to issues and LV will not do anything. Sad, but it happened..

I’ve had my roses pochette since 2008 when I bought it new at LV. 11 years old! It’s been used to death. Still looks beautiful. I think however it wears it’s fine. So yours may not get too messed up (if at all)

Omg thank you so much! I did some searching on IG and found them! They’re called KKLeatherGoods. I’ll send them an email and ask them how much! Really happy!

It does look still so beautiful! I’m thinking the older pieces are also more durable or prone to wear since there’s been so much quality issues I’ve heard about the last few years :(
