Hello. I hope everyone is having a great day!! I wasn't sure where to post this question so I thought this would be the best place. I have been thinking about purchasing a new daytime bag and have come up with two finalists. I am hoping you can help me decide. It is between the LV Diane and the YSL Nikki (medium) in black. I think they are both beautiful but am undecided on which one to get.

I have a very casual lifestyle and am looking for something light weight that I can wear everyday and occasionally out in the evening. I have other bags for evening wear so that isn't a major concern its just the idea of not always having to change purses every time I go out in the evening.

One thing concerns me about the Nikki is the large logo, it is pretty invisible with the black on black but I do not like logos on bags if I can avoid it so it is a negative for me whereas at first glance the Diane seems a little more under the radar. I find the Diane is very casual and I like the crossbody option but not the thick strap. So they both have something about them that is making me hesitate. Maybe I am being too picky.

I would love to hear your comments on both bags and your preference. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I personally think the LV is less understated bc I cannot see the logo HW on the YSL bag. The LV also seems a bit more sporty daytime and more blingy IMO. Perhaps bc of the crossbody strap and the ghw. But both are very pretty! Have fun deciding

ETA: if you really cannot decide, perhaps neither is perfect and there is another bag out there.

Thank you for your insights. Interesting 880, that you don't notice logo on the Nikki. You may be right that another bag might be better. I will continue to think about it. Thanks again!

My vote goes towards the Diane bag. I have the monogram bag, but I would love to get the Empriente. I just came back from a vacation in Greece, and the Diane bag was all I needed. Perfect.

YSL!
I know you said the medium Nikki, but I actually like the baby Nikki more. The location of the strap attachment on the sides of the Diane concerns me because it rubs and will have wear over time. I almost bought a Diane In Paris, but decided against it once I saw the sides- I hope this makes sense. GL deciding and show us what you end up getting.

Have you seen the nikki in real life? I have and it was disappointing. it somehow Looks cheap with the wrinkly leather and the way it slouches is not flattering. This coming from a girl who likes slouchy leather bags like the older balenciagas.

the Diane is more classy and looks classier to me. Always good to balance out a casual outfit. And yet classy enough for night especially if you add a gold chain.
