Hellooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its your old pal CB
I know I haven't been around in quite some time, and there are lots of new faces and personalities here.

With the recent changed to the Forum, I had occasion to update some broken links in the Hermes Newbie Reading Room.

Here it is: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...et-a-birkin-or-other-bag-reading-room.505926/

I realized while fixing the links that there was much there that was out of date, for example, the waiting list conversations (ah....the good old days....). I have made some updates, and deleted some threads that were either out-of-date or missing pictures, or even dead links.

If any of you would like to add your favorite REFERENCE threads or conversations to the Reading Room, please post here, and I will review them and add them where/when appropriate.

Some of the older conversations are included simply for their historical interest and because they still do provide some good reference for someone new to the brand. Plus, it is great to see some old friends and remember the forum from back then. But, if there are new threads that I may not be aware of that would be of particular use to a new member looking for Hermès, please link them in this thread.

@papertiger has updated the Paris Reading room as well, but if you have something to add to that, or Tokyo, please drop a note in this thread as well.

Thank you! :flowers::flowers::heart::heart:

How to become an Hermes client and be offered a coveted bag..

What are the current quota bag rules and limitations?

How much does that bag cost now?

Which bags have been offered to clients lately?

I think I’m going to check out the resale market instead...

How is it shopping at the stores in my region specifically?

What are the new items coming up next season?

I think my bag could use some refurbishment.

I’ve been offered a special order! What’s that all about?

How long does it take for my special order to be made?

Where can I share pictures of my Hermes items?

Thank you @acrowcounted ! I will make sure all of these are included (I think I have some already but I will check). Great list. Much appreciated. :flowers:

@CobaltBlu its FABULOUS to see you here!!! i wrote some articles for PurseBlog that i also created threads for, which would probably be good for reference (bag care, special order process, etc)

Perhaps we could also add these threads to the reading room?

Size reference thread: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/size-reference-guide-pics-only.91703/

And its discussion thread: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/discuss-hermes-size-reference-thread.91705/

What fits in Kelly of different sizes: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/whats-inside-a-15-20-25-28-and-32-kelly-do-come-and-see.253726/

What's in your Hermès bag which also helps with knowing capacity of what fits: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/whats-in-your-hermes-bag.77524/

What about the bag insert thread? I know there are lots of questions about bag inserts (which ones do people prefer, what do they look like inside the handbags, etc).

OH MY GOSH THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! :flowers:
Whenever I see a newbie asking something and especially when they get directed to that thread I feel so bad.....now it will be up to date and chock full of good info

Maybe we could also throw some of the most commonly asked questions into Reference somewhere? Like "how delicate is Box Calf?" or "Does Clemence blister in rain?"

Oh, and like to @Notorious Pink 's great and detailed articles
