I haven't been here in ages b/c, well, life, BUT, today I ordered a Prairie Satchel in Light Saddle for my birthday and I think I made a horrible mistake. The color on their website was beautiful. The color in other images sometimes seems REALLY yellow. Someone please tell me I didn't order a yellow handbag. I was torn between it and taupe but I felt taupe would get dirty and light saddle appeared iconic.

Feel free to offer reassurance or to advise me yep, ya f*cked up, girlfriend.

While I wait this out, I'm open to any and all commentary.

Not really. Not cheaply, anyway. I don't live near an outlet and I didn't read the return policy until now and I would have to pay return postage. Plus, I used Klarna so I couldn't go to an outlet even if I were close. I don't usually shop at places with restrictive return policies, I just didn't think about it.

I think it is probably just a lighting issue, and will probably be saddle in color. I just looked at a bag that looks berry in some pics and cherry in others. Sometimes it is a nice surprise when you see the color in person.

That's what I'm hoping. I'm guessing a lot of people who own Light Saddle bags haven't seen the post. I wouldn't have ordered it if I even remotely thought it was more yellow than tan-ish. Just got shipping confirmation. Will keep my fingers crossed until the 22nd! :smile:

(What's really freaking me out about it is in a lot of 'other' pictures online, the color reminds me of the color of baby poop, hence the freak out :x)

I did a return for a purse I bought using Klarna. Not a problem at all. Put having to pay return postage is a problem. I hate when stores do that. Sorry. Hopefully it will be the color you want.

Well it arrived today. In certain lighting, like outside (see pick on brown chair) I LOVE it. Inside lighting, it's okay. It's smaller than I anticipated so had I seen it in person, I wouldn't have purchased it. Even still, she's a keeper. Much more Camel than the shade I associate with baby poop that I was seeing all over the Interwebs. 8/10 would do again. Thanks you guys for keeping me company during the wait. :)

I found out the hard way once that Coach won’t issue a refund if you use PayPal. Options were pay to send to JAX (and get a refund but pay a bunch in shipping) or get a merchandise credit by returning in person to local outlets. I was a bit dumbfounded as I have never run into this issue with any other company. :facepalm: :no:

Is this only for the outlet? I've returned a bag to retail which I paid for using paypal. I didn't have a problem.
