Help! I want the Gucci Marmont Camera Bag in Ivory, is there a colour transfer?

Hi bag lovers,

I’ve been thinking of getting a new Gucci bag for a while and I keep going back to getting the Marmont Camera Bag in Ivory but I am worried about colour transfer. Do any of you have this bag? If so, can you please tell me if colour transfer is an issue with this colour leather?

I don’t have this bag but yes color transfer is a likely issue. You’d have to be pretty careful with it.

To be honest, color transfer really depends on the clothes you are wearing more than the bag. I have had color transfer from one specific pair of dark denim jeans on several of my bags. Gucci Soho Disco, Chanel WOC, LV canvas, even my humble Longchamp Le Cuir, the material of the bag didn't matter, that one pair of jeans would mark them all!

That being said, an Ivory or any light-colored bag will definitely show color transfer and dirt much faster so you do have to be very careful.

I have the Marmont shoulder/camera bag in a pale pink color and I only wear it with white jeans, very light blue jeans, and some light colored summer dresses. I have worn it quite a bit this summer and have had no color transfer on it. If you get the white camera bag, I think it would be best to pair it with very light colored clothes.
