Hi,

I went to Tiffany's last week with mum and saw their diamonds solitaires. Well, I was in LOVE ! Especially with the square Tiffany's cut.

Since I already wear a 2 ct ering, I do not want to downgrade too much. I think I can cope with the 1.6 ct, VS1, F colour, Tiffany cut one.

Problem is I have to save up for it (dirty word hey). The price last time I saw it was around 50k AUD. I really prefer not to go smaller but the 2 ct one is 80k and at my current pay (jut reached 6 fig, I can't justify it).

I can save up about 500 AUD a month, that would take a whopping 8 years ! :crybaby:Thing is, we have 3 houses (2 investment) and 2 expensive cars to pay so even though we have good pay, we can't really be too frivoulous.

I can live with that though as I already have my ering.

Can't ask hubby since we have join account and adopt the principle that what's ours is ours. So neither have to ask permission as long as I do not bankrupt us.

Is is a ridiculous thing for me to want ? I am normally a sensible person though. I just can't get that bloody ring out of my head..... Think of it all night yesterday. HELP !!!!

We all have our unrealistic loves.... I love T&Co sooo much, too....

But, since you already have a 2ct ering, perhaps you should just dream a little of it.... Tiffany & Co has lovely diamonds, but you can get just as pretty diamonds from a diamond dealer if you do your homework....and then find a jeweler to custom a setting and ring just for you.

Eeek Australian Tiffany's prices are so inflated! Could you buy it from overseas instead? I reckon even adding in airfares you could get it for cheaper in the States! Esp with our dollar being so strong at the moment

Otherwise if you are willing to consider pre-loved, signedpieces.com often carry authentic T&Co diamond rings.

So you're saying you want to get a smaller stone at Tiffany? Are you unhappy with your current stone? Were you just kind of drawn in when you were in the store?

I can't imagine getting a smaller stone unless yours is just really poor quality, which I doubt.

No no no I dont want to trade in my current ring but I want to get another one which is square ish as my solitaire is round cut. Colour and cut of my current one is fine. I just got smitten with the Tifffany's one when I entered their store. But then again someone told me maybe it is the lighting.
