After a long wait I finally got my hands on the new coco handle from 23p and I was beyond ecstatic! However, in my unboxing I noticed that there’s a slight defect on the handle where a piece of the leather seems to have already been rubbed off…I contacted my SA and she mentioned that this is not repairable and I can only return (or exchange if they can find another one, which is still unsure). While I’m waiting for that final verdict, thought I’ll post in the forum and see if there are any ways to repair/minimize the appearance of this defect. It’s pretty small, as you can see in the picture, but now I can’t really unsee it so it bothers me slightly.

Any help and recommendation is greatly appreciated!!

If you love the bag and are afraid you wouldn't be able to get another one you could always consider finding a twilly to put on the handle as a means of protecting it. That would bother me as well - I'd be afraid the leather would be more likely to break with use over time.

Hi! I'm actually experiencing the same thing - there's a small glue stain on the handle and I'm torn as to return this or not. Can I get everyone's thoughts? If the SA does find another one who knows what other issues the bag might have....

Hey! I have the same bag and also posted a similar question. How can you tell if this is a stain and the leather itself is not peeling? My CCH has the same problem and my SA also mentioned it being a stain but I didn't really understand what it means . If it's just a stain, will it get worse? Because then I'll consider keeping it, but not if the leather is actually peeling away. See my photos here..

oh wow! We do have the same issues...I actually bought this at the Chanel Boutique and she called the repair team to come downstairs to take a look - after reviewing it they said it was a glue stain because the chain on the handle was glued. They didn't recommend fixing it or repairing it since it might make it worse. What are your thoughts? You think I should return it or just wear it? I'm just torn and need some advice.

Isn't it such a beautiful color and bag tho??????

I'm definitely curious to see what other people say. If it's 100% a stain that will not worsen, then I don't see a problem with keeping it.

I agree, this bag in this color is perfect. I tried on the same in white too, but this color stood out and will easily go with just about everything in my wardrobe. So I'm having the same dilemma as you! Have you tried asking your SA for a replacement? Mine is working on securing me another one so I'll have an opportunity to compare both and make a decision then.

Yeah, I might actually have my SA do that so then I'll have something to compare it to. I mean, another bag doesn't guarantee it'll be absolutely perfect. Will you keep me posted on your decision? I will be very curious.

But this color is so hard to come by and it's just so beautiful.

Exactly, the bag I have is perfect outside of this problem. And the color is hard to come by! For sure I'll keep you posted, you do the same. :)
