My mom is turning 50 in 2009 and I want to get her a nice gift, since she is (IMO) the best mom in the world! :yahoo:I was thinking about getting a Rolex but need a little help. Since I'm still a student, I won't be able to afford anything super fancy - I'm thinking either entry-level ones or ones a couple of levels above that.

Rolex connoisseurs - how much will this cost me approximately? (Feel free to state prices in your own currency.) And do you have any suggestions? To help with the visualisation, my mom is Asian, petite (not quite 5'), slim, and young looking - people often think she's in her early thirties!

All suggestions and advice very welcome! Thank you!

Get an entry level ladies datejust in stainless steel jubilee bracelet with roman dial. I believe you can get one for just under $5,000. The next level up is ladies datejust in 18K/stainless steel jubilee with stick or roman dial. Next level would be mother of pearl dial and then diamond markers. The more bling, the more expensive.

The cheapest Rolex watches are those of the "Air King" model. They sell for around $3,000. They are a mid-size style and are more sporty. Some women feel that they are too plain, but I do love them!
