I recently got a new job which requires me to drag a whole heap of paperwork, money, lunch, a cardigan etc around in my bag. I want to downsize where I can, and since I can't give up my large agenda, it has to be my wallet that shrinks. I feel like I want something else for a change rather than a mini wallet that has all my cards tucked in 2 compartments.
I saw a girl on YouTube show her Tory Burch Robinson French wallet and decided that's what I need in my life. The only downside is, they've stopped making the wallet. :shucks:

So now I need your help - what else is out there? I'd like leather or saffiano, preferrably colorful to make it easier to find in my bag, around 10 card slots and a compartment for paper money, and a button closure on the outside. The size needs to be compact. No separate space for coins is needed since I rarely even carry cash let alone coins with me. I'm hoping to pay max 100 €.

I looked at a MK one but am not crazy about either MK or the closure (button on the inside).

TIA for the help, I KNOW you have some brilliant tips to throw my way!

Great timing, as I've also been looking for a smaller wallet. I've been looking closely at Kate Spade's Lily Avenue Kieran wallet, as well as the French wallet made by Lodis. The Kate Spade wallet is saffiano, and has an ID window, which I kind of like, but the Lodis wallet is less expensive, smaller, also has an ID window, as well as a roomier coin purse.

I'll be watching this topic with interest! :D

Well then, interesting times ahead! :graucho:

I was looking for a slim wallet with multiple card slots last year, and I ended up with my MBMJ Sophisticato Tomoko wallet, which I love. I don't know if it's still available new anywhere but you could try ebay I suppose. :) The button closure is inside (why don't you like that?) but otherwise I think it will suit your purposes.
Here is a link to a sold-out version on Nordstrom so you can see pics and description:

Looks great, especially the color! :smile1: BUT...it's a continental which means it's a bit too large since I'm on the lookout for a small wallet.
I've had a couple of wallets with a snap closure on the inside - somehow it just makes the wallet bulge in a weird way when it's full. It's not so much a problem with continental wallets which lie flatter but with a wallet that has the sort of layout I'm looking for the upper corners tend to turn outwards and it's not a flattering look. The inside snap also opens a lot easier than the one the TB has. I'm looking to get rid of the wallets I don't use and replace them with stuff that will have staying power and functions I need. :smile1:

Oh I didn't realize you wanted to avoid the continental wallet. It sounds like you are on the same hunt I was last year except I wanted a zip slot. :)
MBMJ has a vertical style that is slightly smaller than a continental and is similar to the Tory burch you posted. But when you put cards in every slot of a vertical wallet like that it will bulge it's the nature of the design.

Oh! Oh! Letmeesee! :woot:
I don't need a coin slot for anything, the last time I had cash in my wallet was probably in February...
The continental is too big, I have a couple nice ones but all my smaller wallets have very little separate card slots. You're very right - when you pack all the slots full in a style similar to the TB, it's because of that that I want the outside snap. It kind of pulls it together a bit more. :smile1:

Hmm, there was one called the Kirsten snap bi-fold (button on the inside, sorry). But it looks like their current offerings are only with an exterior zip, the Vertical Q zippy.

Kate Spade, Coach and Ted Baker all have a great selection of slim wallets. Unfortunately, I was specifically looking for continental style, but I'm almost sure TB and KS had the horizontal shaped one you are looking for.
The TB is the one with the crystal on the clasp and the KS is similar to the Holly Street, but horizontal. Hope this helps :)

P.S. Found one of the TB ones :)

Yeah, that's why I've had to ask for help from all of you lovelies because the zippy wallet trend is so strong right now that it seems impossible to find a wallet without a zipper. :search:
LV has some really groovy designs but the prices are way beyond my range right now - plus the thought of paying hundreds of euros for coated canvas is a bit weird. But I'm starting to think I may have to start saving up for one anyway...

Loving the look of the little TB, but I'm after something that will hold my cards and the occasional paper money - a coin pocket is pretty much of no use for me since I hardly ever carry cash and the coins end up in a jar at home. :smile1:
