This is a follow up post to my search for a blue bag (and now a red), after a visit to the boutiques.

I saw the SL SDJ and Prada in person and they did not compare to the Diorever in the cobalt blue, which is a summer color. The color is BEAUTIFUL and exactly what I was looking for, but it will easily be the brightest bag I own, and on me I thought it be a bit too bright? My impression was that it's more of a "novelty" bag than an everyday one, but perhaps I'm not used to it- I do wear primarily neutrals, so theoretically it would go well with my clothing. I would appreciate any feedback because it is truly beautiful in person.

While at Dior, I also got distracted by a gorgeous darker red, which is a new color in the fall lineup. I see this as extremely versatile bag. I can see myself wearing this year round, dressed up and down. I have a smaller brighter red bag already, but would love a larger everyday workhorse in darker red!

I also inconveniently fell in love with the Celine mini belt in deepsea! I was expecting to hate the opening, but I find it fairly easy to get in and out of, and I LOVE the shorter shoulder strap, which at 5'1" I prefer over long straps. I was originally looking for a brighter cobalt blue, but I actually really like the deepsea and feel it would be very versatile with my wardrobe, and I can see myself using it as a daily bag. Per the SA, this color is now in limited supply.

These are my options:
1. Get the blue Diorever and wait for a red in the belt next season.
2. Get the blue AND the red Diorever. Though due to the price point I will probably have to postpone the red for a couple months from now.
3. Get the red Diorever and the deepsea Celine.
4. Get the red Diorever and wait for another blue.

Here are the photos. Please excuse the awkward poses in Dior; it was a tight hallway and there were a ton of people walking past me.

all beautiful bags! i can't resist both blue and red bags, but if I were in your position, I'd get the cobalt blue diorever, and save the budget for any bags that catch your fancy in the future.

reason being you just bought a red bag, the cobalt blue is stunning, but i don't think you need two diorevers. with the new artistic director at Dior, I think she will bring exciting changes, why not wait for anything that comes?

I love the deepsea celine belt but i will not buy two blue bags at one go.

however, it depends on which one you yearn for after sleeping on it:) frankly i think you can't go wrong with any option! congrats in advance!

The Diorever in blue is a stunning shade so that would be my first choice. Second place would go to the Celine belt bag. The colour seems extremely versatile for your colour choices and did I notice you had a petite 2jours in red? I love Celine bags and I wouldn't sell any of mine so resale wouldn't matter to me.

Haha I thought sleeping on it might help, but I'm still confused. My eyes want the Diorever in blue, but the Celine deepsea and Diorever red felt more "at home" on me.

I'm going to different boutiques closer to home next week to try them on again, to gain some clarity. I felt very awkward at the different Dior, so maybe that's affecting my perspective.

Another important piece of information - my new red Fendi 2jours petite is still within its return time frame. I seriously love this bag, but it is the smoother calf leather so I am a bit concerned about scratching it. Here it is, to throw yet another wrench into my decision, as if it needed another one!

I am in the minority here, but I really like the Celine on you.
You totally rock the colors of both Dior bags as well, but personally, I am not really a fan of the Diorever bags.
But most important is, which bag do you like most? Which one makes your heart sing and would work best for you?
IMO all bags you showed look great on you, so I don't think you can go wrong here .
Good luck with your decision!

One of the reasons why the red Diorama looks more suited on you is because it matches your lipcolour. Imagine if you had blue nail lacquer on your nails, or even blue flats. Then the blue would look like it was a perfect match for you.

I'd say go for the blue. It is stunning and makes a beautiful statement.

I don't like the leather belts on the Celine and I feel that they look a bit gimmicky (I don't mean to offend anyone who owns the bag).

I wanted to add that I realized that you were considering getting 2 of the bags.

I suggest getting the blue Diorever first and seeing how much you like the bag. The fact that you will have to postpone the second purchase is good, because the Diorever may become your favourite go-to bag and you may want it in a different colour. Or maybe you'll want a different bag after your experience.
