Hi Everyone,

I wanted to treat myself for my birthday but I can't decide on a bag. I have been trying to cut down my bag collection and currently have 2xWOCs, 1xChanel Square Mini, 1xMK Selma Messenger Bag, 2x Large Longchamp Le Pliages. I have enough small bags and large bags but lack something which is medium sized/good for everyday.

I am leaning towards the Celine Belt Bag as it is something I've had my eye on for ages - I just love the aesthetics of the bag. I'm undecided on the size though...either Nano or Micro. Also, is the opening clasp really that annoying or is it something I can work with?

However, whilst looking...I came across the Loewe Puzzle Bag in Small. I've seen it a few times before in person and it never appealed to me until now. I still don't love the look of it as much as Celine but it seems to be v practical.

Ideally, my bag would fit: Phone, Card Holder/Small Wallet, Keys, AirPods, Portable Charger/USB, iPad Mini/Kindle, Small Water Bottle (500ml), Mini Umbrella, Tissues, Lipbalm, Small Handcream, Antibac

Any help would be great! Thanks :D

The Nano actually has a magnetic snap closure instead of the more difficult hook and pull clasp on the Micro. I’ve heard the Nano can fit quite a bit though and you shouldn’t have issues fitting all the above in the Micro. Do you have a specific color in mind? I feel like there are more options in the Nano size. I won’t be helpful in determining which size to get though as I actually went larger and have the Mini Belt Bag!

I have the nano belt bag, and I think it would be tough to fit all those things in it. The nano does fit a lot for being a small bag - including a water bottle but unlikely it would be able to contain everything you are listing.

The magnetic clasp has never bothered me - very easy to use. I would also note that the micro belt bag’s strap is not adjustable in length but the nano’s is adjustable.

I really like the grey, I think it would be easy to pair with different outfits.

How do you find the mini? Does it get heavy?

Thanks, maybe I do need the micro to fit everything inside. Unfortunately because of the current situation it's just difficult to get to a shop to see it physically :(

I'll need to measure the strap then...

As you already have smaller-sized bags, I would go for the Micro which is the perfect in-between size and would fit all the items you described.

I personally got the Mini (biggest size) as that's how I love the design of the bag most and I needed a roomy bag. It does get heavy as it is suede lined, especially with a bottle of water in it for instance. Not sure how much lighter the Micro would be though.

To decide you should also bear in mind that the Nano and Micro are cross-body styles, while the Mini is a shoulder bag with a shorter strap.

The clasp is not something that bothers me. The central part of the belt is the annoying factor in the closure system in my opinion, but when I can't be bothered to get the flap under it I simply close the clasp above that part of the belt.

Hope this helps!

Grey was my second choice! It’s lovely in person. I ended up with the Mini in Dark Navy. It can get heavy as there is room to really pack items in but I don’t carry a lot so it hasn’t been an issue for me. I agree with the other posters that the Micro is a true medium size bag if that’s what you’re looking for. But I have also heard that people who own the Nano absolutely love it.

What color Mini do you have? I don’t see many with the Mini so got excited when you mentioned yours! I was the same way and loved the design of the Belt Bag in the Mini size the best! Plus it comes with feet :).

Hey Lyxxx035,

We can open a Mini belt club then haha :yahoo: I love its proportions and how it sits on the body, I find it very editorial.

I got mine in classic black as it is "only" my second designer bag and I wanted a safe bet that was bigger and more discreet than my black YSL medium college bag for everyday wear. I was very tempted by the grey too! But decided to go for black instead as I love wearing grey coats in the winter and wanted something that would contrast.

Is yours black as well or navy? I'm not quite sure from your profile pic.

My Celine Belt Bag (in Micro and Grey) and Loewe Puzzle Bag (in Medium and Tan) are actually my favorite staples in my collection. I have never thought about selling them. So either style could work for your downsized collection and fill the medium bag gap. Both are equally functional in terms of ease of use, so go with the Belt Bag if you like the look more. The clasp doesn't bother me and you can always just zip the bag up without doing the clasp. The strap is not adjustable so you might want to try it in person. Also, the Belt Bag has a suede interior so you have to be more careful with liquids or wet umbrellas.

If you're looking for true medium size bag that comfortably fits everything you listed, I would recommend the Micro Belt. The Nano Belt definitely fits a lot but still looks like a tiny bag.

Mine is Dark Navy! Purchased it late last year so it’s from the Hedi era but I’m okay with that. I love black as well and would have chosen that color but I have the Micro Luggage in black from Phoebe’s time (my first ever premium designer bag!) and wanted to add some color to my collection. YSL is another fav designer, I have the Small Loulou and love it.

I have the micro and I would say that your essentials would fit well inside. The opening can be a bit annoying, but since I'm not going in and out of my bag all the time I don't mind, and you can always slip a small cardholder in the back pocket depending on what leather you're getting.

- this video compares the two sizes :)

Hi! I have the micro belt in grey and I feel like it should fit the items you listed, but it would be heavy. I usually just carry my continental wallet (zippy small wallet if I want to save space/weight), iPhone 11, keys, lip balm, sanitizer, hand cream. Once in a while I’ll put a mini water bottle. It will fit an iPad mini and mini umbrella. I’ve gotten a lot of use out of mine as I like using it for traveling (I’m too scared to travel with my calfskin Céline luggage due to possibly getting scratched in my luggage). The reason I went with the micro size vs. nano is because I wanted a more medium sized bag since I already have the Céline luggage in nano. It’s nice to have a bag that fits your essentials + still have room for items you might pick up when you’re out. I also love how versatile it can be worn.
