Hello! How can I date this 'antique' bag I've found? How much is it worth? Gold/brass colour with blue lining. Heavy metal with chain strap, and magnets stick to it. I've seen similar envelope-shaped purses from the 1920's and some replicas in the 1970's...but haven't seen this seashell shape. Is that art-deco? Or modern? How do I verify what I've got? Pics attached, thanks!!

I would take it to an antiques dealer in your area, or do some research online and contact a dealer by email and include these photos.
Agree with @indiaink. A good antique dealer should have the resources to at least make an educated guess of the age, or to point you in the right direction to look for that info. Popular designs are often replicated, as you have noticed. It will greatly help if there are some kind of marking in the bag, to help as your starting point. Good luck!
