Hi Everyone,
I turned 40 last March and purchased the Cartier Love Cuff thinking that’s what I wanted. I loved the bracelet but something just didn’t quite feel right. I think that since the cuff is open - it bothered me a bit. I did try on the small love bracelet as well as the regular- but I think the size was a bit big? I’ve attached photos for reference. I also loved the small JUC. Anyhow, my mom bought the cuff from me and I’m still undecided as to what to get. Here are my thoughts:
1) Cartier love bracelet in correct size.
2) a right hand ring
3) 2 or 3 smaller jewelry pieces I have on my list. Not one big purchase.
Any other ideas are welcome.

Regular Love looks better on your wrist than other choices.
If it doesn’t have to be Cartier then I’d suggest perhaps a gemstone ring for your right hand? A gemstone which will have meaning tied to you turning 40?

Depends on your aesthetics and budget, there are so many choices!

My jewelry collection comprises of a lot of rings - I love them. I think that’s why I am leaning towards bracelet. Also, it is an iconic piece that I think is timeless and classic to wear everyday. What do you think of the size of the bracelet? Does it look right to you?

I like regular Love on you. On the 4th photo it looks a little loose, on all the other just right so I’m not sure. It shouldn’t feel tight that I know:)

I turned 40 last March too and also marked it by buying a Cartier piece - great idea to buy a forever piece of jewellery for such a milestone birthday! :)

I love the classic Love bracelet on your wrist, so my vote would be for that in the correct size. The price will only continue to go up, whilst you can get a smaller and/or non-branded piece at a later date.

Thank you for your input! How loose or tight should the love bracelet be?

I have two Love cuffs rather than the full Love but always heard you should go for one size smaller than the cuff. What size was your old cuff? I wear a size 18 cuff so if I wanted to buy a full bracelet it would likely be a size 17. Personally I like a tiny bit of movement but not too loose (rolling up or down my arm). My size 18 cuffs have a snug enough fit that they don’t roll but they still move a little, if that makes any sense!

My cuff was size 19. The love bracelet I tried on was 18 - but wonder if it’s too big.

I am in the minority, but I think the cuff looks like it fit you the best. But, I’m glad your mom took it since it made you uncomfortable. My next choice would be the full size love in the size down from the cuff. I did not think it looked too big, but I like a bit of movement. Cannot wait to see what you decide!

Regular Love looks the best on you!

I usually prefer dainty jewellery as well. At first the regular Love felt thicker than I was used to, but jewellery tends to look smaller the more you see it! After looking at it everyday, I got used to very quickly and I love it

My SA said the thin Love is a cute look for your 20s, but as you get older, the Regular is a classic look and is the way to go.

For me, I liked the small size but not having the original Love bracelet was something I would regret so this helped my decision.

Good luck and post pics when you get it!
