Need some expert advice! I normally wear white metals (platinum and white gold rings, white gold earrings). Yellow gold looks awful on me; I'm a pale white girl and my veins look blue and purple, so cool toned.

I ordered a white gold 6 diamond small love bracelet that just arrived today. I'm underwhelmed. I think I don't like that much flat rhodium, but I also wouldn't want a plain white gold (non-coated) love. So I think white gold love is a no-go for me.

I was thinking I should get a small love bracelet since I want the option to take it off occasionally (up to 1x/month). But I'm used to heavy rings and the small love bracelet didn't feel as substantial as I'd like. The love cuff isn't something I'd like. So, I think I need to suck it up and get a classic. Which one should I get?

Rainbow RG: I think it's so special and pretty. But I'm worried about feeling like it doesn't "match" my outfits. Also my husband already hates that I want to buy expensive jewelry and a rainbow love is probably one of his least favorite things, so he will probably complain about it and I'm worried that might take away some of the joy.

Plain RG: low maintenance, no worries about matching or clashing with outfits, close to the original design. My husband will like it better for its appearance and for the slightly lower price tag. I just don't think I'll feel as "wowed" by a plain one, but maybe that's not true. They do look pretty when they're shiny.

There is no Cartier in my state and I won't be traveling for several months. I'd like to pick something soon though; I've been super stressed at work and really want to reward myself with a bracelet.

I personally would go for the plain regular rose gold. But you should go with the one you love the most! Even if it isn't the one your husband would choose. You have to wear it everyday. Maybe if he sees it on it would change his opinion? My husband wasn't a fan of the plain YG before I bought it, but now he thinks it is beautiful. Probably because I love it so much and he is just happy for me

Thanks everyone for your votes and comments!

I did a lot of thinking and looking at photos the past couple of days, and I just ordered the RG 4 diamond love

If I got the plain bracelet, I would still want one with stones. The rainbow love is gorgeous, but I think I wouldn't see it as a "neutral" because of the colors. So 4 diamond love seems like the best long term choice even though it's a bit more expensive.

I think it will arrive later this week, but I won't open it until I'm certain that my small WG return has been accepted. I was very careful and did not scratch it, but I've read about returns being denied and it scared me :whut:

Personally, I absolutely do not like anything in rose gold. However, of course, personal preference.
I understand! I can't wear yellow gold (feels too flashy and looks bad with my skin) so it's nice there are a few options so everyone can find something they like :flowers:

It looks gorgeous on you! I wish I got mine in PG, purely because I am a similar skin tone to you and it looks great against your skin  congrats!
Thanks so much! I'm very happy with the rose gold. I tried on some non-Cartier yellow gold a few months ago and was shocked at how much I disliked it on my skin, so I'm very happy that Cartier offers a few metal tones to choose from. Maybe you can add a rose gold love someday! :graucho:

@mocktail: Great choice! I have the exact same bracelet and very pleased with the extra sparkle of the diamonds.

However, in regard to the above post, are you comfortable in the size?

If not, what is your wrist bone size and what size are you currently wearing? Can you show how far it falls down your arm?

It is a beautiful bracelet; happy to hear you love yours too!

My wrist is 16.5cm/6.5in over the bone and I ended up with size 19. The small white gold I originally ordered in size 18 couldn't go very far up my arm since my arm gets much larger than my wrist. I love the fit of this 19; I can wedge it higher on my arm so it stays out of the way when I'm typing or washing dishes. Yup, sounds like you got the right size with the size difference!

I also ordered mine online/by phone so I did tons of research and reading on sizing.

Also, in order to keep mine as pristine as possible, I wear a wristband often at home, which has really helped.

Happy for you! I love mine!
