I used a very well known personal shopper to source a medium size classic Chanel wallet. I requested GHW and when it was sourced, I was sent a photo to confirm specs. I immediately thought that the hardware was silver and asked them to confirm, as I wanted gold. They confirmed that the hardware was champagne gold and said that it may have been the lighting in the photo that made it look silver. I went ahead with the purchase after they confirmed GHW.
Well I received the wallet, and lo and behold, the hardware is silver. I sent them photos comparing the wallet hardware to my existing Chanel purses, and you can clearly see it’s silver. They have responded that their Chanel SA has confirmed twice it’s definitely champagne gold. I have asked for a copy of the receipt (no receipt is given when purchasing from this personal shopper) and am wondering if I can ask Chanel AUS to confirm details?
I’ve attached photos comparing the wallet to my small heart purse with GHW and my small o-case with SHW.
I would love to hear from anyone to support/negate my thoughts.
