Help! Chanel boy chevron vs quilted?

I guess this is an unpopular opinion nowadays but I love the boy bag, esp in chevron with ruthenium hardware. Since I have been meaning to incorporate silverish hardware into my wardrobe, I need help deciding between two variations of the boy bag. Both are in caviar leather, preloved in very good condition with full set, and around the same price, however the chevron is from 2017-2018 (Karl Lagerfeld), and the quilted is from 2022 (Virginie Viard). My dilemma is, should I purchase the chevron boy bag despite it being older, or go for the newer quilted boy bag?

I don’t think the year matters. My boy from 2018 still looks new. Get the chevron if that’s what you love!

Not a Chanel person but, just looking at the photos you've posted of the bags you're choosing between, the chevron suits the style better and has a cleaner, fresher and more streamlined look.

The quilts with the horizontal and vertical stitching look a trifle busy.

Get the chevron if that’s what you love! I think the year doesn’t matter if the condition is good. My pre-loved boy was from 2018 but she looked as good as new when I got her last year. Love the boy!

You already gave yourself an answer, saying you really like the Chevron ☺️ .
Go for that one if it is what you love, age doesn't matter as long as it still looks very good.
Personally, I also prefer Chevron for the Boy. Good luck with your decision!
