I will be receiving a yellow gold set (solitaire engagement, diamond eternity wedding band, and plain gold band) for our 5 year anniversary. I've been on both the Cartier and Tiffany websites, and cannot decide on a set. I like features of a couple of rings more than the others, but would preferably like to get all 3 rings from the same brand. I know it comes down to personal preference, but I love both sets equally and need to choose one. I was hoping to hear some pros and cons of some of these rings to help me decide.
Tiffany set
- Tiffany 1ct 18k Yellow gold classic engagement solitaire (I like how the setting is one ring with a separate "head" on top. Looks like a classic ring)
- Tiffany eternity diamond wedding band, channel setting, 3mm wide, 0.84 tcw (clean, uniform look, straight lines)
- Elsa Peretti solid 18k yellow gold band (ergonomic, modern yet timeless)
Cartier
- 1895 1ct solitaire, 18K yellow gold ring (all one color, more uniform look. I don't like the supported setting)
- Classic eternity diamond wedding band, 18k yellow gold, 1.52mm wide, 0.22cts (streamlined, thin band of tiny diamonds, minimalistic look, yet elegance and soft lines on the band unlike the "boxy" metro ring from tiffany)
Since I haven't seen these rings in person, I would love to hear from anyone who owns any of them. I didn't know I would be this torn.
