Hey Guys :blossom:

I am looking for the best quality shoulder bag in which to carry my books, laptop etc. I have looked into a tote, but cant decide whether a leather or canvas bag will be better?

If anyone can recommend brand and bag with the BEST quality - i would appreciate all the help I can get. PS: I interested in luxury and have been looking at Goyard, Faure Le Page and LV.

:coolio:

I also vote for canvas. I had a suede leather tote from All Saints once and I partially filled it with lightweight items (2 makeup pouches, iPad mini, keys, phone, etc) and it weighed like 2 pounds! It dragged me down to the point I had to take it off my shoulder. But even when I held it in my hand, it was still ridiculously heavy! I had to return it asap.

I put the same stuff into my Mono canvas Speedy 25 and it was much lighter than that dreaded leather tote. I vote for canvas!

My daughter has a Le Pliage for school and it didn't hold up to the weight of the books. Then she switched to a coated canvas bag and that was much better.

I m for canvas if it's for work. I m still in love with the monogram aft do many years. It does hold up really well. Had min for at least 13 years and it still looks good though the handles are honey brown. It's so easy to take care.

Leather bag are not so suitable for work as I find it too heavy when I put in my stuff.

I can't stand heavy bags, no matter how gorgeous, I find myself avoiding them. I have to say Prada tessuto nyon is my favorite, light weight and wear like iron, and can be washed with no problem !!

For carrying heavy I would say canvas. Leather is awesome but usually tends to be heavy without anything in it. I would say I nice coated canvas. LV is popular but there are tons of coated canvas options for every budget.

The Chanel cerf tote might be a nice choice depending on what you are planning on carrying. But you might be better off with a coated canvas bag to the ease of use...

Ah thanks guys. Im going for a coated canvas. It makes more sense for my life stage at the moment (working and always on the go)

However, a little leather detail maybe? I see corners on tote bags are often worn and torn. Ill let you know what I end up getting
