  1. So I'm new in Portland, OR. I have a friend coming to visit over the weekend Thur-Sun next month. We're looking at a place in downtown portland called the Nines? The room is for deluxe one king bed.
I was wondering what the best way was to book it for the best price. On the hotel web they offer like 3rd night is free so total would be$378 instead of $567. Do they add tax?

I also searched for the same hotel on
It came to total of $428 (with tax-is tax included for everything? I thought OR didn't have tax)
Sorry so long, I just want to have this trip and hotel all ready for my friend
  2. Also found a hotel called Hotel Modera in Downtown Portland, rates a little better. $327 for 3 nights. How much tax is usually included? I wasn't sure if it's a bad room b/c it's prepaid option one?

  4. Has anyone stayed at Modera? I'm thinking of booking it for a trip to Portland in March, but I'm worried it's a bit out of the way since it's in the business district. We're also thinking of Hotel Fifty, because it's a bit more central and very reasonable.
