I'm looking to see if I can get some help authenticating a Chanel Handbag. A friend of mine has a Chanel handbag that was given to her back in the 1980's. Her friend brought it back from Paris. It's the classic, quilted, lambskin 255 handbag with a chain strap in a cream color. There are no store tags, but there is Chanel tag along with a hologram card certifying the authenticity of the item, with a serial number on it. The serial number on the card matches the serial number in the handbag. It also came with a little Chanel booklet, explaining how to care for it, etc. Gold trimmings and chain strap are still in plastic. Bag is fairly heavy and does not look at all fake. Sooo, I'm wondering if there is a kind soul out there that can tell me how to go about authenticating this bag? I'd be forever grateful. Thanks!
