Any thoughts on this particular city streamer bag before I go make a purchase. I was thinking of using it as a work bag if and when I go back to working in office. Also, the color transfer for everyday use is going to bother me or should I just be happy adding it in my collection and use it once in a while? Or should I just get the marignan?

Something to consider: the construction of the City Steamer looks like it would be heavy and might not be convenient for regular use because of that. The Marignan would be much lighter. Not as much of an issue if you've already tried it on, but I'm a "big bag" person and one of my pet peeves is bags that are heavy before you even put anything in them.

Are you saying the CS is on the heavy side? I don't mind heavy work bag since I just go to work and sit it on a chair in the office but if I am paying too much for a bag would like for it to be versatile too. not many reviews on YT about the CS bag that's why I can't really decide. lol

This steamer is beautiful. I almost put it in the cart myself (if it’s the same one I saw) but decided to go more “practical” for myself (AKA “less likely to obsess over wear & tear”). If it’s the one I saw, I think it’s a great price.

I have both bags (not the specific city steamer you have pictured) and the city steamer can get heavy after awhile. For me, I would be nervous using as a daily bag because of the open top. I think it depends on what you will be carrying as these are very different bags...

I really liked it but I chickened out and walked away from the great deal. If it was black I will not be asking for advice anymore. lol

I have 3 City Steamer MM and 3 CS Mini, I used to use MM to work , to shopping etc. It depends on how you go to work, if you go by own transport and only leave your bag sitting in office , then CS is okay. The most important point is which bag you like the most .
Regarding colour transfer, just don’t carry it on shoulder too much if you are wearing new dark colour attire eg Jeans , other than that it should be no problem. I have a lot of light colour bags, so far no problem . For this kind of leather, colour transfer can be easily removed by using facial cleansing oil .
Good luck !

I hear you! And I had been looking for a Steamer like that one! Eventually I had to admit to myself I liked the “idea” of wearing that bag more than how I’d probably use it in real life. Good luck on your hunt!

I love the City Steamer bags, but I’m not sure how well they hold up as an everyday bag, I don’t have any issues with any of mine, but I only wear them once in a while. I have noticed a lot of pictures where you can see creasing in the leather where someone put too much in it or crushed it somehow. I have not had any problems with color transfer or glazing issues with the City Steamers (Knock on wood). My everyday bag is a black Lockme backpack or a black Lockme tote

Good luck with your decision they are beautiful bags,

KimMN
