i was at Christian Bernard this weekend and looked at their Hearts on Fire jewelry.....i ended up buying a pair of earrings and a ring. i love love love the ring, its so sparkly! they didnt have anymore HOF boxes or certificates (bummer) but i ended up buying it anyway because of how sparkly the pieces were. even away from the lights and in regular light it was like a symphony of lights

the items were discounted 40% off with an additional 10%......the sales people kept telling me what a good deal it was because according to them, HOF is never ever discounted at all. i was wondering if anyone knows if this is true?

Are they going to send you any boxes/certificates? :s I'm assuming the certificates aren't specific to each diamond, otherwise not getting a certificate would be like buying a diamond that's GIA certified and not getting that certificate.

I know next to nothing about HoF jewelry; what exactly did you buy?

hi jan, they said they would send out the boxes if they get it in from their other store locations or from HOF, but i'm not holding my breath. they had one last one left, so i did get a certificate for the ring, but not for the earrings. its a handwritten certificate with the specs from the tag though.

i looked at a pair of their 1.40 tcw studs and another that was 2+ ctw....they were sooo sparkly! the salesguy walked me outside the store so we could look at it in natural light and even then, it sparkled like crazy. the thing though, even their 2+ ctw stud earrings didnt have GIA or AGS certificates! only certified by HOF. i thought that was kind of odd.

I've heard that HOF diamonds don't get certified by GIA because GIA doesn't have strict enough certification for the cut...would you mind if I ask how much the 1.4 ctw and 2ctw diamond stud earrings were? I am looking for a pair like that.

is that good then? meaning that HOF cut is super ideal?

if i remember correctly, the 1.4 ctw studs were $9,xxx and discounted to $5700.....with an additional 10% off on the weekends. the 2 ctw studs (i think they were 2.40-something, not 2.00 exactly) were somewhere around $26,xxx? and with the 40% and additional 10% it came to somewhere around $15,500 with tax. when i got home i compared the price to bluenile's signature ideal and its definately more of a mark up for the HOF.
