-Hearts on Fire diamond bangle
-Cartier Ballon Bleu small or medium with diamonds
-Cartier Tank small or medium with diamonds

Which would you choose? Which would hold its value best over time? I want this to be a piece I can wear for many, many years to come. I've attached photos of the pieces I'm trying to decide between.

Thank you in advance!

To further elaborate: I do not own a watch, but if I purchased a Cartier would wear it almost daily. I do own a few David Yurman & Hermes bracelets. I tend to not stack heavily and seem to wear only one or two bracelets at a time.

If I do purchase a watch, should I be concerned that a diamond may fall out with heavy wear?

I love my BB watch! I’m considering a tank solo but with leather strap but that can wait. Prices for tank solo are moderate considering the BB.

Thanks for your input! I've read that some people consider the Tank a more timeless piece & that big watches may eventually fall out of style...however I feel the BB can also be timeless & and that it's really up to which one speaks to you in person. [emoji4]

I agree - I think a watch holds its value more over time! Plus you currently don't own a good watch.

Between BB and Tank I would go with the BB just because (and I know I'm in the minority) I really don't like the Tank! I think the BB is way more stylish (the Tank looks dated to me) and both can be classics in their own right. But in general I like round dials.

Hi,

I would pick the Bleu definitely. I have one and it’s really a modern classic. So very casual chic kwim. This watch is not so oversized that it will look weird later. It’s very thin or wrist and lays very flat compared to Rolex dayjust. I wear bracelet stacks on right arm so not to damage my good watches. The tank feels more traditional although I’m thinking on adding a vintage gold one with leather strap in the future.

I'd get anything BUT a watch. Watches just aren't necessary anymore. When I see people wear one, it's like seeing someone wear a fedora... A very retro look.

Not trying to offend here. Do what you want, this is just my opinion.

I'm going to take a different view and vote for a tank, although not necessarily that particular tank. Which do you feel looks better on you? I'm just not a huge fan of round watch faces for me -- oval yes, tank yes, round no. I'm looking at Cartier watches as well and like this one: https://www.cartier.ch/fr-ch/collec...k-anglaise/wt100034-montre-tank-anglaise.html (large size) or this one (if I opt for medium instead): https://www.cartier.ch/fr-ch/collec...k-anglaise/w3ta0003-montre-tank-anglaise.html

Again, it's all personal taste, but of the Cartier tank watch styles, for everyday wear, I like the Tank Anglaise best.

I agree they're not necessary, but some people appreciate the look, just like one might prefer any other type of accessory.
