As title suggested, i am contemplating between heart and round .5 stone for pendant. Which one would make a better pendant? I am going to have the diamond by the yard style chain.

Would you also pick a F VVS2 .5 diamond pendant over a VCA sweet alhambra in gold?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Yes. Who graded it ideal, and what are the angles?

Hello there! Thank you for your response. I am looking at a RB .4 ct E VVS1 Ideal cut on Blue Nile. It's a GIA diamond. Here are the specs.
Length/width ratio 1.01
Depth % 62.5%
Table % 57.0%
Polish Excellent
Symmetry Very Good
Girdle Medium to Slightly Thick
Culet None
Fluorescence None
Measurements 4.68 x 4.72 x 2.94 mm
Would you recommend it?

I am thinking about ordering a loose diamond then bring it to my local jeweler to have it set. Would you happen to know how much a 18k rose gold diamond by the yard solitaire style setting costs roughly?

Thank you all for your responses. I will go with diamond pendant.

Already a pass. Too deep. GIA doesn't grade stones as IDEAL. AGS is the only lab that gives an IDEAL grade.

We can find better. Is there a reason to stick with Blue Nile or are you open to other vendors?

The setting is going to vary. But if that's the setting you want, let's look at an online vendor that actually makes something like that and do it all in one throw. Why do you want a local jeweler to make it? Is there a specific reason?

I am open to any vendor. I am so new to diamond. Can you suggest a vendor with better stone? I would love to have it set in one throw as well but I have been looking from different vendors but have not found one that offers setting that I like. I want one that's similar to tiffany DBY in 18k rose gold but could not find one online. Please send over suggestions if you have any.

Much appreciated!

Brian Gavin Diamonds does the closest thing to a Tiffany DBTY I've ever seen. On top of that, they have spectacular diamonds. Several posters in this section have purchased this very same necklace, though not in RG.

They have two options, a "fixed" style, which is just like the Tiffany, but the chain is 14k and the bezel is 18 (I am assuming that's for safety and durability):

and the Barbara, which moves.

Those are just the necklaces. I will PM you some diamonds.
