I stopped at the outlet this morning to return a misguided FOS purchase and also to look for a wallet to go with my new camel, mahogany, ivory, colorblock Rory 19902.
I have loads of wallets and didn't want to spend a lot on a new one but I do like it when my wallets match my bag!
My favorite wallets are slim envelope, accordian zip, and sometimes zippy wristlets with a built-in wallet. I figured I would look for a mahogany wallet or wristlet that would be versatile and go with lots of other bags.
I looked around carefully but didn't see anything I liked. There were very few FP delete wallets or wristlets and none of the MFF ones appealed to me - and they were all more than I wanted to spend anyway.
I was in the checkout line waiting to return my FOS items when I saw a SA showing 2 women the Madison Needlepoint double zip wristlets in brown and black that have a built-in wallet.
I had looked everywhere and these items had not been out on display. I quickly got out of the line and said "Excuse me, but I would like to look at the brown wristlet if you have another one?
The SA said that she that she had more in back and left to get one for me and commented "I will have to grab a few and put them out!"
The customer let me examine the mahagony one and I really loved it but it was not redlined and was marked full-price $118 so at 40% off, like the rest of the FP deletes, it would be $71.
I was debating that price when the SA came back and she told me that these had been clearanced for only $49!
I usually prefer leather rather than sig fabric but I liked the look of the needlepoint op art design. And although I love my Rory she is a bit on the heavy side so carrying a fabric wallet will reduce the weight.
The other customer took a black one and I got a mahogany, and with the credit for my return I only had to pay $6 out of pocket.
Here are some pics of my new Madison Needlepoint Double Zip Wristlet 50477 LI MAH (MSRP = $118, Paid = $49).
I didn't know what the LI color code meant but it stands for Light Gold hardware and of course the MAH stands or mahogany. I will also post a picture of the wristlet with my colorblock Rory and a stock Coach drill-down picture of the wristlet.
I was a bit disappointed that today's trip to the outlet was going to be a waste but now I am very glad that I went!
