Although I have a fair few premier designer bags made in Italy, I also like to see what's available at much lower prices. Last year, I came upon a Maliparmi shop in Florence. It's a moderately priced brand originating in Padua. I like that the company is run by a woman and has women designers. Nothing against the boys, but a little more girlpower in the fashion world never hurts.
I was able to buy Italian-made gloves, bag and shoes for well under 1000 euros (total). The bag is about the same size as the Gucci Boston Supreme and is very comfortable to wear cross-body. The gloves are my favorite, though -- I love the color, feel and fit.
They recently opened their first store in Paris. http://www.maliparmi.com/fr/

Gorgeous! I love learning more about under-the-radar brands, especially ones that have a great mission, like girlpower! I haven't seen any in person, but a couple of styles are being sold in Anthropologie. Here are a couple of my faves from the Maliparmi website.

How's the quality on your Maliparmi items? Are they holding up well? [emoji4]

Yes, very well. I have to be careful about the weather for the shoes, of course, I won't wear them in the rain. But otherwise, they've been good value for money.
