Hi gals,
I am watching two bags that I REALLY want, they are both from a different country. It worries me that they are so far away, and of course shipping is an arm, leg and then some.....what are your opinions? Has anyone ever bought a bag from overseas?
THANKS!

I have... it get here just fine.. I been lucky with no custom fee, but really depend on what is the bag and where is it coming from.. also the price of the bag..

Yep, I've bought 2 LVs from Japan and had no problem. I'm in Canada and so we usually get hit with crazy shipping and customs fees but I didn't and the transactions were as smooth as glass.

I figure that I can get most bags in the US if i just wait, so I don't even look at over-sea ones... Before TPF i didn't even think that over-sea ebayers are for real untill I met Jelita and Jenanh! Turns out there are coach lovers in other countries than the US :P

I've bought 3 bags from China once, (before I was more educated about the difference of fake and real ) and even tho they did arrive, they also broke quickly... So i guess it depends where from, what bag and if its trustworthy seller...

Can I ask where overseas these bags are??? It might sway my opinion as to the likelyhood of faux Coach!!!

I will say I've never received anything from overseas that was authentic, but they also were not rep'd that way...before my educated TpF days!!! Now I'm all authentic all the time!!!

I stay away from over seas auctions in general. If there is a problem with the item I don't want to deal with the added hassles and extra costs of overseas returns. I agree with "coachmommyofmin" that if you wait most bags you can find here. There are a lot of Legacy bags in the states. But fi you are really interested in them, post them to the "Authenticate this Coach" thread and get the experts opinions on authenticity and the sellers rep.

Hi I am from Singapore. So far I have not bought through Singapore eBay for coach items. Reason being they are not as cheap as those from US. I am talking about even with shipping added in, it's still cheaper for me to buy from US eBay. Coach itself is very overpriced here ( about 2 to 3 time more ). And we don't have outlets here.
However the postage from Singapore to US could be cheaper. With just a mere s$2+ added in, you should be able to get it registered, meaning the parcel has to be signed off by the receipiant. That's only about us$1+. I lost a lot of arms and legs when I paid for US priority mail for my bags ordered from US

Here are the links for the postage:

My final advice is to find a trustworthy seller which will sell authentic coach bags to you  good luck!

Hi I just recently moved back to Canada from Australia and I did order a few items off ebay to be shipped to me overseas. I made sure to have a tracking number and because the shipping was a bit high I never bought the smaller accessories, only the bags. Australia does have a few boutique stores that I did order from but the prices were crazy compared to Canada and the US. So ebay was a good option for me!

I had bought 2 Coach Totes from Taiwan at their Coach Store in airport and another one more from Bangkok airport.
I think you can get certain unique designs or colours from overseas which you cannot get in your own country.

The majority of my bags are from over seas, the reason being even with expensive shipping I still come in WELL under retail price than buying from the boutiques here in Bahrain!
Just make sure you go with a buyer with lots of good feedback you'll be fine ;)
You might even get used to the buzz from a little parcel being delivered, hehe!
