Have you ever been accused of carrying a fake?

I've gotten stares when I carry my denim neo speedy but no one has come up to me yet. I asked my SO's mother if she thought it was real and she said no! I asked why and she said 'they don't have the little feet (golden studs) at the bottom of the bag' I quickly corrected her. Then she asked how much I paid and I replied 'too much' (it was almost one month's salary) and I'm glad she didnt press for more details on just how much 'too much' was.

I don't like to guess the authenticity of other people's bags unless its blantently obvious, because sometimes I wear not so flash clothes with my speedy and I'd hate for other people to look at me and think I'm carrying a fake.
