I was browsing the Balenciaga website and saw this new shoulder bag style! Is this the first time Bal makes the flap style or merely the first time I notice it? I haven't spotted it in any of the Bal threads. Measurements are 11 X 5 X 8 ($995) which makes it perfect for me, but I would love to see what it looks like in the inside. I would love this style in Pre-Fall/Fall colours. What do you think of the Bal flap? Do you miss the regular/giant hardware?

I've never seen this style before. Is this a seasonal style or included in the motorcycle line? I don't like this style though, looks too plain for me. Nothing that indicates the balenciaga characteristics. They should have put the giant or regular hardware in there. Now that will be interesting!! 
This is an oldie style they brought back for some reason. I have one from 2002 that I bought because it was really hard to find many moto bags then and the caramel leather was so luscious. I'm not sure that would be a persuading factor now. It's a small, plain bag that I ended up using a lot. They've been doing the bag again for a couple of seasons now, and if you look at the pre-fall fashion show pics, you'll see what seems to be a quilted version of the flap (quilted like the matelasse). I have no idea how they're selling.

I saw this in late fall/early winter at the Barney's in chicago in pink. I remember being surprised to see it- never encountered the style before. It is small- truly like a mini messenger, but worn as a shoulder bag. I didn't like the leather at all on the one I saw, and I also find it a bit generic-looking for the price. I can't remember what the inside was like, unfortunately. But it would be a very functional bag, and comfy to carry.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! I agree that it doesn't look Balenciaga but I think that's what appeals to me. I love designer bags that are subtle. Would love to see this in brights (Raisin/Poupre) or a greyish hue but the leather probably won't be as nice as the oldie.
