I love the colourway of this bag but also realised there is a small practical problem. The bag when worn on the arm or on the shoulder is fine because those positions help to keep the mouth of the bag “closed”. But when worn crossbody or just left sitting, the bag is pretty much gaping open. Any ideas what I could do - other than 1. putting all my stuff into various pouches and 2. using a scarf to “cover” the opening of the bag ? Thanks !!

Some of the purse insert companies will make a custom zip top insert if you send bag dimensions. I only have 1 open top tote & I bought a generic purse insert off of Amazon for that bag, but there may be options for your bag already. I know that a couple companies have inserts specifically made for the book tote and neverfull.

I love that colorway too! (I ordered the sneakers but ,unfortunately, couldn't get any size to work for me). Bag insert as suggested sounds like a good idea. I don't have any experience with them, but the first thing that popped into my mind when reading your post was some sort of bag you can use inside with a drawstring type closure, almost like a dust bag that comes with handbag but nicer. I think I've seen a Pucci bag that has a removeable silk inner "lining" with drawstring (attaching photos). Maybe you can find something like this but bigger or even have something made.
