after much deliberation I finally bought my first pair of espadrilles! The classic black lambskin ones from Neiman Marcus. After about an hour of wear the inside sole started to feel weird. When I took them off I realized the inside sole was starting to peel. It looks like the glue is just totally coming off. It’s hardly sticking. Has this happened to anyone else? Neiman's told me it was an easy fix and to bring it back and they’d fix it or order me a new one. Still not looking forward to making the hour drive though.

No experience with Chanel shoes, but I sold other luxury brands. This is a very common problem, and store is correct that it is an easy fix. I was told by vendors it usually happens in storage/shipping. The glue either doesn’t set well before the shoe gets warm, or the shipping carton reaches really high temps and loosens the glue.

Be glad NM is willing to fix and make right. My local Nordstrom won’t do any shoe repairs or replacement. I Shoe Goo’d brand new Prada espadrilles 2 years ago myself. Not the Nordstrom of yesteryear.

Thanks for your response! Hopefully it’s an easy fix :)

The sole issue did not happened to me but I bought the same espadrilles as you at Neiman Marcus and felt the leather is noticeably thinner than the espadrilles I bought from the boutique. I was eventually wondering if NM got a faulty classic lambskin black batch recently. I'm not sure but hopefully someone else may provide more insight.

In the end, I'm glad they are going to fix it for you. Perhaps you can exchange for a different pair because these ones are unreliable.
