Has the Ferragamo Marisa been made in this color (regular leather)?

Has it? I know that that exact color has been made in patent before, but being a non-too-careful gal I really need it in regular, pebble leather (with lavendar or silver lining, please ). The other purple are either too dark for me, or too light. Why didn't Ferragamo make the Marisa in that exact wine/burgundy purplish color, just in regular leather?! Arrghhh! Words cannot express my frustration...if only they made it...I would run out and buy it immediately! Now...how can I get something that doesn't even exist? Would they take custom orders for it?

Have you tried calling a Ferragamo boutique and asking an SA?

mmmmm, I don't think I've seen one, because I would own it!
I have a wallet in this color, but I've never seen the marisa w/ this particular shade of leather.

^^I haven't tried asking the boutiques, but I usually stay on top of the styles/colors pretty well. Will try asking when I go to NYC in September!

They do and it came out the season AFTER the original Marissa in Capri Blue came out. Eva Longoria has been photographed carrying it at an airport wearing tracksuits and Uggs I think...it's been a few years though...I remember it vividly because I bought the Capri Blue and was completely obsessed with the Marissa for a long time.....tried to stalk one in that purple with red undertone color down and actually found two but never pulled the trigger because it was one of those bags that look fabulous on someone else but not me

It's made with the regular Ferragamo leather with wooden rings connecting the leather handles and the bag.

I was in the boutique in San Francisco yesterday and the fabulous SA (Seth, if you call) was telling me they can SO (special order) just about any color/material in this bag, and they put a special plate in the bag with your name on it. I was sorely tempted!

I don't think the all-leather pricing was much more than a ready-made bag. Seth could also try to track one down for you, if it's been in production.

Haha yeah thanks; I buy most of my stuff on sale though, so for me it's tough to jump the gun. If it's in production then I could see if I can get it on sale, but I imagine that the same would be impossible for special-ordered goods...

Yeah I know, I really loved the idea of that bag, so I wanted to see if there was a way for me to SO it at the very least; it's good to know that that's possible, so if I really caved in then I know what to do! LOL

Hey that's cool, I was just teasing you. If you decide the Marissa in this color is perfect for you, it might be worth saving up for. Sometimes I "resist" a few "2nd choice" bags to go for the brass ring.
