Has anyone used the Dooney & Bourke Repair Program?

How was your experience with it?

I wonder if they repair their vintage pieces ...
I haven't used the repair program in a number of years.
Based on my limited prior experience, I found that most of the
issues I needed fixed were not repairable items.
I think they might repair/replace zippers or straps.
But they had no ability to deal with the leather
issues I had in the body of the bag. I don't know if they could replace worn
leather binding or corner patches. I also don't know if they
can repair/replace linings.

Also, I never saw a real value in the trade-in program since there are
great sales where I can usually get a new handbag ar the equivalent
of the trade-in value offered. Then I just gift or give away the original
bag, depending upon it's issues. I like my bags to look pristine, so my
old bags are relatively brand new looking to most others.

I’ll have to use the repair program. One of the grommets/hardware that secures a strap broke. The repair program emailed me and said based on the pics I sent they should be able to fix it… it appears to be an easy fix.

My repair will be delivered on the 15. They repaired it for free AND shipped it back for free. I only had to pay to ship it to them. It turnaround time was quick. I’m excited to have this baby back.

My repair is back. I’m gonna start off with I purchased the bag off poshmark. The pics I posted earlier in this post shows what the snapped rivets look like. And those are the pics I sent in with the repair form.
i filled out the repair form on the dooney website and sent pics. In a few days they responded they could fix it. They didn’t ask for any receipts, serial numbers, or registration info. I shipped the bag and they emailed that they received the bag. Emailed what they would be able to do. Emailed my bag was repaired and the date it would arrive, with tracking numbers.
THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME ANYTHING!!!
both rivets holding the strap were replaced with the matte rivets used on Florentine leather. They look like nothing ever happened. Apparently they went in the bottom of the lining, making small cuts to get up to the rivets. You can see the black stitching on each side in the pics. I was wondering how they would do it because the line of green suede is like right there. Anyway I am extremely happy and I’m moving right in… I have a new bag!

Thank you so much for the info. They did a great job and it's nice to know that Dooney
stood behind their merchandise and repair policy. Big bonus that they didn't charge
you at all. I have one Dooney with a popped rivet. I need to dig it out and send it
in. It was a bag I purchased new, and didn't use very much, so I don't know how
it happened. But hopefully it's an easy fix and the bag is beautiful otherwise.
I'll post pics when I dig it out of the back of the closet.
