Has anyone tried the Bottega Ellipsie bag? I have to say the shape intrigues me. I hope they release more colors.

Hi! I think the name of the model is Solstice, I also have my eyes on it.
at the moment the big version comes in dark green and the small version in black. My SA said that she is not aware of any new colors coming anytime soon.

It's so pretty! It's weird, it seems to be called different things depending on the retailer.

Like here is the same bag on BG under a different name. The cream color is pretty with the gold hw.
Interesting! And such lovely color! On BVś Website (I’m in Europe) it appears only in black (small) and dark green (medium)
I just tried it on at Nordstrom in Seattle. It’s gorgeous. The medium size is perfect. I’m strongly considering this bag.
I just bought the medium Solstice - such a beautiful bag in person! I thought I’d share a few photos, including what fits - I have been on the hunt for a bigger, throw-whatever-in type weekend bag. I have so many structured bags that I’ve been eyeing slouchier hobo style bags but nothing was speaking to me. I went into BV to try on the Solstice and the Andiamo - I loved both but then my husband reminded me I have a ton of square, top handle bags so I went with the solstice 
plus I love the dark green color and the unique shape - thinking this one will get a ton of use! Now off to ban island forever!
Also I’m currently 5 1/2 months pregnant, so my side profile is not usually quite so large

It’s a gorgeous bag. The profile is cleaner than the Jodie. If I didn’t already have an Inkwell Jodie I would have gotten this in the dark green.
I also have the Solstice in medium in the dark green. The craftsmanship is other worldly. The bag is light to carry and in my humble opinion, pays homage to the code of Bottega. I was concerned about the strength of the shoulder strap but not an issue at all. I. Love. It.

Pretty bag. I like everything except those metal knots. All leather would be up my alley!
So glad to hear you love it!! It really is such amazing, beautiful craftsmanship. I personally love the gold knot detailing too! I haven’t taken it out for a spin yet, but I’m already thinking up all the different ways I’d incorporate it into my wardrobe
Totally minor irritant on my part but I wish the little suede pouch it came with was detachable! Just stick a little small d-ring to clip it onto on the inside - if anyone from BV design is listening to me
My goodness, the reviews and mod shots are making me want this even more! I just wish they made the medium in other colors. The dark green is not really my favorite but I would go for it immediately if they did it in a wine, navy, or a plum color. Or a pastel for spring!
Agreed ! I love the light yellow color the small comes in, alas the small is too small for me. Luckily I did want a dark green bag, but would love to see more colors!
