Has anyone seen the summer bags yet?

I am tired of the square, drawstring, floppy, satchels---all the typical. I haven't seen anything not only in Coach but other lines that is interesting and different. The thousands of dollar bags are unique, but I'm not going there. Every line has the Bleeker look. Every line has the rounded top Alma look from LV, and whatever name it is in other brands. I had that bag years ago and loved it, but got tired of it and sold it. Now I see it everywhere. It just seems to be the drill--every company in mid range has the same look. I've been selling my LV's. I don't use them enough to keep them any more. I've been using my Coach bags, but got stuck on Phoebe (have three) and now I'm tired of that look and ready to sell them.
I like the fun summer bags for traveling and going to the beach and being casual. Has anyone seen any or even a hint of them? I live where it's hot, so we're beyond spring and already into summer. I'd like a summer bag or two.

Thanks,
diogenes

I haven't seen anything really summery or casual at all from FP. Everything is pretty formal looking. FOS has some cute summery bags out, I just ordered a floral tote.
It seems like the more casual line from FP, Poppy, is a dept. store exclusive now.

What I've seen from Coach is formal resort or summer evening. Nothing fun.

I haven't bought a Dooney bag since high school but their chevron totes caught my eye in a store today. Fun, cute and lots of colors available.

This is the only Coach FP bag I've seen coming in the spring preview that really looks summery to me, meaning not leather; so canvas, straw etc. I am hoping it is out soon.

This is the Town Tote in Wavy Gingham. It's available to order now, but it won't be out until next month. I don't remember the exact price. I think $398-458?

Yeah, to me it seems like Coach is dropping the ball. They're going for a more sophisticated look (so are the other contemporary brands) and it's alienating some customers. I miss the fun Coach with bright colors and cute styles. I never buy siggy or mff so there's really nothing there that appeals to me. I'm just sticking with my oldies and LV for now. My wallet is happy though! Lol.

I like the gingham bags for the summer. I won't be buying any though. I'm pretty satisfied with my collection right now and have been perusing premier designs. I'm not stuck on a brand and I don't get upset when a line doesn't wow me. I do prefer Coach's price point and own more of them than any other but I'm not tied to the brand. I just look at the collection, realize it's not for me this season and move on. Typically, the contemporary brands have the same ideas and we'll see common themes. Personally, I consider it a gift from the handbag god's that my wallet can stay put. Makes hubby happy too!

When a brand changes design direction, they will always lose some customers, but they will pick up new ones as well. The trick is to retain most, and gain more new customers than you lose. There are always times when Coach, or any other brand, doesn't have anything in particular that appeals to me at that moment, but new styles come out at a pretty quick pace, so there's always something new on the horizon.
