Has anyone regretted their PM reverse?

I'm about to get a pochette metis. I usually play it safe with my bags and style so always just assumed I'd be getting the mono. Didn't even consider the reverse. But now reverse is kind of calling me :O I'm worried I'll regret it though later on and wish I got the mono since its more classic! I already have a few mono bags though and no reverse... Thoughts??

Actually, me. I obsessed over the reverse for almost a year. I finally got it and I found for me it was hard to pair with outfits. I ended up regretting choosing the reverse over the mono. 6 months after I got it the glazing started to peel off and my SA told me I could swap it for a new metis or a different bag. I ended up swapping it for the mono metis and I was and am super happy with my decision.
That being said, I still absolutely love the reverse and I love seeing it on other people. My close friend has the reverse and it’s just beautiful. Part of me still wants it, but not in place of the mono in addition to it. The main thing I miss about it is the carefree nature of it due to the black leather. It’s a really hard choice!! Maybe get the reverse first and try it on at home
with a bunch of stuff to see how you feel with it?

I had this dilemma in 2018 when I was contemplating which one to get.
Long story short, in the end, I went for the mono because it can be paired with more outfits even though the leather will patina over time.

The reverse is hip and gorgeous, but if you think about it, you have to wear a lot of neutrals to make this choice work. Christina from Flip Or Flop wears hers all the time, and I love her look. But she wears a lot of neutral colored outfits, so it works.

So look into your wardrobe and determine which one fits better. They are both gorgeous. If you really, really can't choose, go for empreinte. Hahaha!!!:smile::biggrin:

Happy Valentines Day btw!

I started off with the reverse loved it sooo much as it was my first LV bag. Then it had glazing problems. Returned it got something else. 2 years later hubby bought me the PM in mono. Love it also but dont wear it out much. It's true that mono is more easier to style. But them if you have alot mono bags already I would go for the reverse. No vachetta to fear of getting wet too. It is a more unique print will add a different flavour to a collection if it's too one sided. Good luck both prints look great on the PM. In the end I don't think you can go wrong with one or the other.

I have PM both in mono and reverse. I initially purchased the reverse, had it for a year and then went for the mono. I love them both and I would go for the reverse again and again if I had to.
Funnily, once on vacation I was carrying my reverse when it started to rain. As we were walking through the rain, I notice a girl with a mono speedy that she had to put under her jacket so it doesn’t get wet. No such concerns with the reverse.

I got the reverse a few months ago and love it. I initially planned on the mono but I have other mono bags and plan to get a Speedy B25 mono later this year.

I think the mono is lovely and classic but the reverse just called out to me. I love the black trim and interior.

I got the reverse when it first came out. I lucked out on the waiting list, I got a call a week or two after enquiring about it. I was somewhat underwhelmed by it. I can’t explain why. At the time the reverse mono came out, there was also a black/red « infra red » mono and and a back/blue version. I think I found those so much more exciting and to this day I would like a PM in black/blue but I don’t even know if it was available!

as it turns out, my PM reverse is the most worn bag in my collection. And it still looks practically new.

I fell in love at first sight when the Reverse was launched, and it took me years to finally got hold of it last year. A year after, my heart still flutters every time I look at the bag closely because there is just something about its colour combination on the silhoutte with the hardware that made it more distinctive than the mono. In my opinion, however, it requires certain colours on one's attire to make the bag work. For example, if you are wearing a floral top (better yet if the colours fall on beige-yellow-orange-brown spectrum), you need to pair it with darker bottom (e.g., jeans - no frills, no sequins) to make the bag pop. I also personally find this bag works perfectly on preppy outfits, and I specifically love this bag against a baby blue button top. As for the cracking, it can happen on the mono and the reverse or any bag for that matter (touch wood!), but so far, mine (made in 2020 from Italy) is has no issues. Thank god.

I bought a couple Coach Cassies last year, just a few months before I got the pochette metis in reverse. And even though I went for the PM reverse, I was second-guessing myself a bit about whether it was worth the investment. The Cassies pretty much have the same structure, go on sale, and come in bunch of colors. (And if I wanted a more weather-resistant Cassie, I guess I could have looked at the Cassie that's a mix of canvas and leather.)

Turns out the PM reverse has been the bag I've used most, hands down, since last year. I love that it has the black leather instead of vachetta (even though I love vachetta) because I don't have to worry about it. There's been a lot of snow in recent days and it's a great convenience factor that I don't have to switch bags whenever it's raining or snowing.

I also love that black is incorporated, because I think it makes it even easier for me to find complementary outfits and accessories.

Good luck with your decision!

I like the reverse better but I know the mono would be my most easy to pair bag in terms of outfits colors. So the mono won me over. I think you should consider the amount of money you’ll be paying and the frequency of bag wear. I tend to go for more neutral color choices now. Although crazy color combos/patterns will always be something I find more striking to look at.

I looked up this bag on the website and in the pictures the reverse parts of the bag seem to have an orange tone that I didn't care for. But that tone is not there at all in your pic and it looks amazing. I think the reverse was a great choice!
