I know Dillards has pop up shops for What Comes Around Goes Around. But has anyone purchased one of these bags? And if so what was your experience? Good, bad? Prices seem high but you get to see the actual bag unlike an online purchase.

I purchased a a sage green denim pleaty a few years ago right around the time they started carrying LV. I remember thinking that the price was a little on the high side, but given it's rarity I was willing to pay a bit more. I don't think I would purchase from them for any current style because they are higher. To your point, you can at least see if a style is something you are interested in.

I have been to two. I didn't purchase, but a family member who was shopping with me has. They have three LV bags from Dillard's, and seemed pleased.
The prices were high, but my family member wanted to use their Dillard's store card. I especially liked the Las Vegas store. You can try on bags, see all of the bags that you are interested in. The employees were very nice. They had vintage, and discontinued styles that I had not seen in person.

I would not buy anything that is currently in stock with Louis Vuitton as WGACA's prices are so high. Higher at times for their inventory vs. the same inventory with Louis Vuitton online or instore. However, that being said, I would purchase vintage bags and discontinued styles from them. I love how you can hold the bags in your hand, try them on, smell them, etc. I no longer purchase from Fashionphile, RealReal, etc, as the last three items purchased via this method arrived in bad shape. Visually ok, but in all three cases, the smells that were absolutely awful. Two I returned. The bags actually smelled of mold so strong, you could smell it before you even opened the box. The third I kept but it was expensive to professionally try to get the smells out. Even then, the smell is still there, just "tolerable". Again, with WGACA, you can smell those lovelies right there in the store.

I LOVE looking at the vintage bags at Dillard's. I can't not look if I'm there. It's like purse time travelling. I remember the names. I see some I used to own, still own, ones that got away... A lot of them are too large. People use much smaller bags now. Their prices are high. I'm old enough to know what some of the prices were when the bags were new in boutique. It's hard to accept that prices are two or three times what their original prices were, but if you consider that they may be half the price of a brand new 2024 style it could be worth it if you love the bag? Always do some price comparisons with reputable resellers first.

I purchased a vintage LV purse from Dillards, but rarely use it because it has a strong chemical smell (not moth) that I can’t seem to get rid of.
